Profile Summary

Experienced agricultural professional with expertise in Agronomy and Crop physiology with special focus on developing the plant based organic bio-stimulant through Moringa oleifera locally named as SOHANJNA to increase food product quality. In this context, my research focus is the development of tools and methods by using the sustainable approaches as Bio-fortification Via Seed priming, Seed coating, Soil organic fertilizer, Foliar spray to optimize agricultural crops production against mitigating the environmental stresses especially drought stress. To continue my research activities and make my work worthful, I have published 23 international and national articles with 23 accumulative impact factor and with 12H-Index. Out of 23 article I am a corresponding author of 17 research's papers. Joining IUB as an Assistant Professor of Agronomy, Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies (CIDS), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan provide me with an excellent opportunity to deliver my teaching & scientific expertise and contribute the innovative strategies and novel ideas to future projects. To stay updated on advancements in bio-active compounds & Anti-oxidant defense system and their impact on yield and quality of the products, I actively engage in academic-industrial meetings and conferences. Through collaborating with academic and industrial partners on various projects, I have honed my collaborative skills.

Projects

Establishing high health Moringa oleifera nursery production in Bahawalpur district and its exogenous application as a seed priming agent under water-deficit stress

2018-09 - 2019-10

Show project

Under the circumstances of sudden temperature fluctuation, germination potential of field cropsare drastically affected which leads to the reduction of yield. So, plant vigorous growth anddevelopment becomes the serious threat for healthy plant seedlings. From project results, theexogenous application of plant growth enhancers as a seed priming treatment which can preventthe emergence harsh condition to sustain the crop growth and productivity. Moringa oleifera iswell-known to be a newly emerging naturally occurring plant growth enhancer in this regards. Itsavailability as a crop in the field can be raised through high health nursery production. It createsthe plant tolerance against environmental stresses after applied exogenously during the early stageof seed germination processing.
