About

Dr. Javaria Ashraf did her Ph.D from Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. She awarded by Gold Medal in M.Sc. (Hon’s.), and got 2^nd position in B.Sc. (Hon’s.) from Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan. Currently, she is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. She has many research and review publications in well reputed international and national journals with high impact factor including Plant Biotechnology Journal, BMC Genomics, Theoretical and Applied Genetics, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, AoB Plants, Journal of Plant Growth Regulation etc.

Research Interests

• Identification and functional characterization of different genes and transcription factors families for high yield, good fiber quality and resistance against abiotic stresses
• Diversity analysis of different cotton germplasm resources’ using molecular and morphological markers
• Whole genome sequence analysis of different cotton species
• Bioinformatics analysis of different genetic factors in cotton
