Profile Summary

Dr. Kinza Khan is native to Bahawalpur and completed her DVM from UC&AS, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 2011. She has a distinction of being Gold Medalist of pioneer batch of DVM. Further, she completed M. Phil (Microbiology) and Ph. D (Microbiology) from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in 2013 and 2022 respectively. Her area of research was related to virology with expertise on cell culture, serology, molecular characterization and bioinformatics. Title of her M.Phil research was “Physico-chemical factors affecting infectivity of Peste des petitis ruminants virus” while in Ph.D she worked on “Molecular epidemiology of Avian Influenza H9N2 circulating in commercial and backyard poultry of Punjab, Pakistan”. Before joining IUB, she had been serving as lecturer, in Department of Pathobiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan since 2013. She joined, The Islamia University Bahawalpur, in 2023. Presently, she is working as lecturer, in department of Microbiology.
