Profile Summary

Dr. Mehmood Ahmad is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Punjab, Pakistan.
He is a Registered Veterinary Medical Practitioner (RVMP-11997) and a Registered Veterinary Medical Faculty (RVMF-554), with a passion for advancing the innovation in veterinary medicine, pharmacology and scientific research. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2017 from the University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan and achieved Bronze Medal. He further enriched his expertise with a fully funded internship in Veterinary Sciences at Sel
çuk University, Konya, Turkiye (2017-18). He completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Pharmacology and Toxicology from UVAS (2019) and secured 1st position with a Silver Medal. Since then, he has been committed to enhance his knowledge and skills in the field. With over five years of experience in academia, he served as a Lecturer of Pharmacology, at Riphah International University and UVAS Lahore. His contributions extend beyond the academic realm. He also voluntarily served Global Peace Chain as an ambassador and Rotary International as a Director of Medical Outreach & Humanitarian Services to promote social justice and welfare.

A prolific researcher and scientific writer, he has published more than ten research articles in well-reputed international Scopus indexed journals. His primary research interests include the Development of optimal dose regimen to combat the antimicrobial resistance, public health and immunopharmacology. His research contributions as a first author, corresponding author and co-author have made significant impacts in the field of pharmacology and public health.

Dr. Ahmad's commitment to research extends to his role as a voluntary peer reviewer for over eight reputable international journals. His unwavering pursuit of knowledge and dedication to the betterment of society are evident in both his educational endeavours and research contributions.
