Profile Summary

Prof. Dr. Syed Mussawar Hussain Bukhari is working as a Faculty Member in the Department of Political Science, Islamia University Bahawalpur since December 31, 1988. He was awarded HEC Post Doc Fellowship in 2009 for Monash Asia Institute, Monash Univerity Australia. He was also offered Adjucnt Falloship for Five Years by MAI. He is running as a chairperson of the Department of Political Science, Gender Studies, and Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution from January 1, 2019, to date. He also coordinated the Department of Public Administration from January 1, 2019, to 16.05.2023. He also contributed to Pakistan's public and private sector universities as a member of the Board of Studies, Board of Faculties, and other institutional professional bodies. He has 47 National and International Research Publications in different areas of interest relevant to politics, administration, local government, Foreign Policy, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Five Ph.D. Scholars submitted their research under his supervision more than 5 are in progress and 23 M.Phil students also completed their project with him. Department of Political Science Organized 3 National and International Conferences, so many Seminars and Webinars, Workshops, Walks, Study Tours, and extracurricular activities for the students in the last 4 years under his leadership. He is also patronizing Association for Political Science Alumni (APSA).
