Profile Summary

I graduated in Pharmacy in 1995 from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. I started my academic career as Lecturer in 1996 in my parent institution. I completed my M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, while working as an active member of Natural Products Pharmacology Group at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Anwar-ul-Hassan Gilani. I completed my Post doc in Cardiovascular Pharmacology with Prof. Dr. Valerie Schini-Kerth at the Faculty de Pharmacie, Biophotonique et Pharmacologie, University of Strasbourg, France. I have served IUB as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor each for about seven years. I also worked as the former Principal of IUB Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi Post Graduate Medical College, IUB, for a period of seven years. Currently, I am working as Professor and Chairperson of the department of Pharmacology, faculty of Pharmacy, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. I have attended many national and international conferences and seminars, and working as an active member of several committees at university level. I am having a good number of publications of international repute and book chapters on my credit.
