About

Dr. Muhammad Rashid Sardar has completed his Ph. D in History from University Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia, and worked on a thesis entitled “Refugees Rehabilitation and their Role In Socio-Economic Development In Sargodha Division, Pakistan, 1947-1974” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Bin Haniffa and Dr. Nor Azlah Sham Bt Rambley. His Ph.D. thesis was nominated with the best thesis in his department as most of the data was retrieved from National Archives and British Library London and he graduate on time (GOT). He has completed two projects under one million grant by HEC. He is also HEC approved Ph.D. Supervisor. He is reviewer of the Journal of Social Sciences, Government College University, Faisalabad, and Journal of Asian studies in the University Utara Malaysia.

Research Interests

South Asian Study, Partition of India, Modern History,  Migration and forced Migration, Rehabilitation and settlement policies of Refugees, Refugee’s Socio-economic effects in Indo-Pak

Awards and Honors

With the Support of Malaysian government conducted Ph.D research at the British Library and British Archives, London and also attended different seminar and conference related to his Ph.D topic. Won two project of one Million grants by HEC
