Profile Summary

I take it as my responsibility to give best theoretical knowledge and experimental skills to my students.

My field of research is thermostable Archaeal proteins. Right now I am working on proteins from 4 different hyperthermophiles, Thermococcus kodakarensis, Pyrobaculum calidifontis, Sulfolobus acidocaldarium and solfolobus solfataricus.  I am studying the possible beta oxidation pathway in Archaea. I also established an in vivo protein folding system which is based on chaperones and co chaperones from thermophilic bacterial source, Geobacullus thermopakistaniensis, which was isloated by my previous group from warm waters of Pakistan.

And I am also working of nanocage forming proteins from these hyperthermophiles. Other than these proteins I am also working on the production of thermostable biosurfactants and their application.
