Profile Summary

Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain earned PhD in Media and Communication from Faculty of Media and Mass Communication in 2021, University of the Central Punjab, Lahore. He enjoys professional experience of media with notable journalists of Pakistan including Majeed Nizami, Zia Shahid, Arif Nizami, Dr. Sherin Mazari, Salim Bokhari and Salman Ghani.

He also enjoys academic experience with iconic figures of academics including Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), former Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, Founding Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission, former Pro-Rector UCP, incumbent Pro-Rector Superior University, Lahore and known figures of media and communication studies including Prof. Dr. Mugheesuddin Sheikh, Ex-Director Institute of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab/ Former Dean FMCS-UCP and Founding Dean of School of Media and Communication Studies, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Jhullandhry, Former Chairman ICS-PU, Prof. Dr. Taimoor-ul-Hassan, Dean Faculty of Media and Mass Communication, UCP, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Shabir Baloch, Ex-Chairman Media Studies Department, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur/ Department of Communication Studies, Bahauddin Zakariya University of Multan. He has worked as a visiting Faculty Member in various departments and Schools of Media & Communication Studies with different public and private sector universities in Punjab.

His topic of PhD Dissertation was ‘Role of Electronic Media in Disaster Management in Pakistan’. His several research articles have been published in HEC recognized and the journals of international repute. He has presented a few research papers in International and National Research Conferences. He has also authored four books including ‘Ik Sham Suhani Campus Ki, Column Nigari Tak, Emergency Services, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (Tarjuman-e-Mazi Shan-e-Haal), and multiple short stories.

Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain is a regular columnist in Daily 92 Lahore. He writes about social issues, higher education, national and international affairs.
