Profile Summary

Dr. Hafiz Tanvir Ahmad completed his PhD in Soil Science in 2016. He is working as Lecturer in Department of Soil Science, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

He has more than twenty-five publications with more than nine year experience in research and teaching. He has held multiple positions, including Assistant Professor Soil Science at MNS University of Agriculture Multan, Lecturer/Scientific Officer Soil Science at National Cotton Breeding Institute (NCBI) the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Scientific Officer/Agricultural Officer at the Agriculture Department (Research) Punjab. He has also served as a Research Fellow, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at the Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

Dr. Ahmad has received numerous trainings and certifications related to research, teaching, co-curricular activities, ISO standards, fertilizer analysis, and nutrient stewardship. He has organized and participated in various national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs.

He has made contributions to soil science and agricultural research through his involvement in multiple projects. As a Research Assistant & Research fellow, he was responsible for isolating, screening, and characterizing drought and salt-tolerant bacteria, and evaluating their effectiveness on crops. Demonstrating his leadership capabilities, he served as the Principal Investigator, exploring innovative approaches to enhance maize productivity in saline environments.

He has expertise in of soil science specially soil microbiology, bio-fertilizer, agricultural research, soil health, soil reclamation and laboratory management. He is supervising under and post graduate students.

Additionally, he has held significant leadership roles in student societies and has been recognized with several awards and certificates for his contributions to the field of soil science and agriculture.
