Awareness seminar on the occasion of World Anti-Corruption Day 2022 by IUB and Department of Anti-Corruption Punjab

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Department of Anti-Corruption Government of Punjab Bahawalpur organized an awareness seminar on the occasion of World Anti-Corruption Day at Abbasia Campus. In the seminar, Commissioner Bahawalpur Raja Jahangir Anwar expressed his views and said that to end corruption, the process of self-accountability must be promoted in the society. He said that every member of the society should work properly at his level and special attention should be given to the training of the new generation so that a corruption-free society can be created. He said that everyone should ensure compliance with the rules and regulations to correct their affairs. With these factors, a corruption-free society will come into being. Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that by fulfilling one's responsibilities according to the law and taking care of the rights of others, the society develops. He said that we can join the developed nations only by giving the best education and training to the young generation. He said that every member of the society has to play his role in the development of the nation by adopting the behavior of self-responsibility. Speaking on the occasion, Regional Director Anti-Corruption Ghulam Yasin said that raising social awareness to eradicate corruption is the need of the hour. He said that in order to create a healthy society, everyone has to play their role against corruption. He said that educational institutions and mass media have a key role to raise awareness of anti-corruption. He said that with the character building of the nation and the right guidance of the new generation, we can defeat the curse of corruption. Addressing the seminar, District Police Officer Ibadat Nisar said that the whole nation must make integrity and honesty its motto to eradicate corruption from the society. He said that there is a need to raise awareness to raise voice against corruption and all the stakeholders of the society should play their role in this regard. Prof. Aun Muhammad Saeedi, Prof. Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, President High Court Bar Association AR Aurangzeb also addressed the seminar while General Secretary High Court Bar Syed Faisal Abbas Bukhari, former President High Court Bar Sardar Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran, Managing Director Cholistan Development Authority Syed Muhammad Tariq Bukhari, Chief Engineer Irrigation Khalid Bashir, Administrative Officers, Faculty the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, lawyers, teachers and a large number of students participated. Earlier, to raise awareness regarding the International Anti-Corruption Day, a walk was also conducted from Anti-Corruption Office to Abbasia Campus under the leadership of Director Anti-Corruption Bahawalpur Ghulam Yasin.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پوراورمحکمہ اینٹی کرپشن حکومت پنجاب بہاول پور کے اشتراک سے انسداد بدعنوانی کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر عباسیہ کیمپس میں آگاہی سیمینار منعقد ہوا۔ سیمینار میں کمشنر بہاول پور راجہ جہانگیرانور نے اظہار خیال کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بدعنوانی کے خاتمہ کے لیے معاشرہ میں خود احتسابی کے عمل کو فروغ دینا ہوگا۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ معاشرہ کا ہر فرد اپنی سطح پر درست کام کرے اور نئی نسل کی تربیت پر خصوصی توجہ دی جائے تاکہ بدعنوانی سے پاک معاشرہ تشکیل دیا جا سکے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ ہر شخص اپنے معاملات کو درست کرنے کے لیے ضابطہ و قوانین کی پاسداری کو یقینی بنائے۔ انھی عوامل سے ایک کرپشن سے پاک سوسائٹی عمل میں آئے گی۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ اپنی ذمہ داریوں کو قانون کے مطابق ادا کرنے اور دوسروں کے حقوق کا خیال رکھنے سے معاشرہ ترقی کرتا ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ نوجوان نسل کو بہترین تعلیم و تربیت دے کر ہی ہم ترقی یافتہ اقوام میں شامل ہوسکتے ہیں۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ معاشرہ کے ہر فرد کو خود احتسابی کا طرزِ عمل اپنا کر ملک و ملت کی تعمیر و ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔ ریجنل ڈائریکٹر اینٹی کرپشن غلام یٰسین نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بدعنوانی کے خاتمہ کے لیے سماجی شعور بیدار کرنا وقت کا تقاضا ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ ایک صحت مند معاشرہ کی تشکیل کے لیے بدعنوانی کے خلاف ہر فرد کو اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انسداد بدعنوانی کا شعور اجاگر کرنے کے لیے تعلیمی ادارے اور ذرائع ابلاغ کا کلیدی کردار ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ قوم کی کردار سازی اور نئی نسل کی درست رہنمائی کے ساتھ ہم بدعنوانی کے ناسور کو شکست دے سکتے ہیں۔ ڈسٹرکٹ پولیس آفیسر عبادت نثار نے سیمینار سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ کرپشن کو معاشرے سے ختم کرنے کے لیے پوری قوم کو دیانت داری اور ایمانداری کو اپنا شعار بنانا ہوگا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کرپشن کے خلاف آواز اٹھانے کے لیے شعور اجاگرکرنے کی ضرورت ہے اور اس سلسلہ میں معاشرے کے تمام سٹیک ہولڈرز کو اپنا کردار ادا کرنا چاہئے۔ سیمینا ر سے پروفیسر عون محمد سعیدی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شفیق الرحمن، صدر ہائی کورٹ بار اے آر اورنگزیب نے بھی سیمینار سے خطاب کیا جبکہ جنرل سیکرٹری ہائی کورٹ بار سید فیصل عباس بخاری،سابق صدر ہائی کورٹ بار سردار محمود اقبال خاکوانی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عمران، منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر چولستان ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی سید محمد طارق بخاری، چیف انجینئر اریگیشن خالد بشیر، انتظامی افسران، فیکلٹی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی، وکلاء اساتذہ اور طلبا و طالبات کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ قبل ازیں انٹرنیشنل اینٹی کرپشن ڈے کے حوالے سے شعور اجاگر کرنے کے لیے ڈائریکٹر اینٹی کرپشن بہاول پور غلام یٰسین کی قیادت میں اینٹی کرپشن آفس سے عباسیہ کیمپس تک واک بھی کی گئی۔
