The one-year term of the Student Society at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has come to an end. Commissioner Bahawalpur Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest on the occasion. He along with Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob distributed certificates among the advisors, presidents, general secretaries and more than 150 executive members of the societies. Last year, Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice Chancellor, directed for the establishment of a Student Society to bring the curriculum and co-curricular activities of students at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, to the world stage. These societies include Debating Society, Performing Arts, Qiraat and Naat, Media, Literary, Sports, Science, Environmental Protection, Fine Arts, Publication and Character Building Society. The society organized various events and competitions during the year and the students participated in them in large numbers, which honed their talents, highlighted their leadership skills and led them to national and international forums. Commissioner Bahawalpur highly appreciated the initiative of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. It was informed on this occasion that the students of these societies organized the first International Level Literary and Cultural Festival under the supervision of their advisors and co advisors and also the first trade fair in the history of Bahawalpur in collaboration with Tourism Development Punjab and Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was held at Qila Dravar and for the first time the industrial products and handicrafts of Bahawalpur and the research product of the university were presented to thousands of national and foreign tourists. I also participated fully and also participated in various programs and inter-university programs on the media channel and participated in various international competitions organized by the Department of Higher Education. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Director Student Affairs and Chairman Student Society said that the number of societies has been increased to 17 on the direction of the Vice Chancellor for the establishment of a new society. They will be selected after the successful completion of and will include new students for next year. They will be trained on the lines and they have fulfilled their responsibilities. اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں سٹوڈنٹ سوسائٹی کی ایک سالہ مدت ختم ہوگئی۔اس موقع پر اپنی مدت مکمل کرنے والے 11سوسائٹی کے ایڈوائزز اور عہدران کے لیے تقریب تقسیم اسناد کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ کمشنر بہاولپور کیپٹن ریٹائر ظفر اقبال اس موقع پر مہمان خصوصی تھے۔ انہوں نے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کے ہمراہ سوسائٹیز کے ایڈوائزرز، صدور، جنرل سیکرٹری اور 150سے زائد ایگزیکٹو ممبران میں اسناد تقسیم کیں۔ گزشتہ برس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر نے سٹوڈنٹ سوسائٹی کے قیام کے لیے ہدایت کی تھی تاکہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں طلباء و طالبات کی نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں کو عالمی سطح پر لایا جائے۔اس مقصد کے لیے ڈائریکٹر سٹودنٹ آفیئر نے 11سٹوڈنٹ سوسائٹی ترتیب دیں۔ان سوسائٹیز میں ڈیبٹینگ سوسائٹی، پرفارمنگ آرٹ، قرأت اینڈ نعت، میڈیا، لٹریری، سپورٹس، سائنس، اینوائرمنٹل پروٹیکشن، فائن آرٹس، پبلیکیشن اور کریکٹر بلڈنگ سوسائٹی شامل ہیں۔ ان سوسائٹی میں ایک سال کے دوران مختلف تقریبات اور مقابلے مرتب کیے اور طلباء وطالبات نے ان میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیا اور جس سے ان کی صلاحیتوں میں نکھارپیدا ہوا،اِن کی قائدانہ صلاحتیں اُجاگر ہوئیں اور اِن کو قومی اور عالمی سطح کے فورم پر کارکردگی دکھانے کے لیے تربیت فراہم کی گئی۔ کمشنر بہاولپور نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے اس اقدام کو بے حد سراہا۔ اس موقع پر بتایا گیا کہ ان سوسائٹیز کے طلباء وطالبات نے اپنے ایڈوائزراور کو ایڈوائزر کی نگرانی میں انٹرنیشنل لیول کا پہلا لیٹریری اینڈ کلچرل فیسٹول منعقد کیا اس کے علاوہ ٹورازم ڈویلپمنٹ پنجاب اور چمبر آف کامرس کے ساتھ مل کر بہاولپور کی تاریخ کا پہلا ٹریڈ فیئر قلعہ ڈراورمیں منعقد ہوا اور پہلی مرتبہ بہاولپور کی صنعتی مصنوعات اور دستکاریاں اور یونیورسٹی کی تحقیقی پروڈکٹ کو آنے والے ہزاروں ملکی اور غیر ملکی سیاحوں کے سامنے رکھا گیا۔اس کے علاوہ ان سٹوڈنٹس نے یونیورسٹی میں اعلیٰ درجہ کے سیمینارز، کانفرنسز اور ورکشاپس کے انعقاد میں بھی بھرپور حصہ لیا اور اس کے علاوہ میڈیا چینل پر انٹریونیورسٹی اور مختلف پروگرموں میں شرکت کی اور ہائرایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے زیر اہتمام ہونے والے مختلف بین الاقوامی مقابلوں میں حصہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس آفیئر و چیئر مین سٹوڈنٹس سوسائٹیز نے بتایا کہ نئے سوسائٹی کے قیام کے لیے وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت پر سوسائٹی کی تعداد بڑھا کر 17کر دی گئی ہے۔اس وقت طلباء وطالبات اپنی نامزدگیاں جمع کروا رہے ہیں جن کی کامیاب تکمیل کے بعد ان کا انتخاب ہو گا اور آئندہ سال کے لیے نئے طلباء وطالبات شامل ہوں گے۔ اُن کی انہیں خطوط پر تربیت کی جائے گی اور وہ اپنی ذمہ داریاں سرانجام دئیے گئے۔اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین ایڈوائزر سٹوڈنٹس سوسائٹیز نے بھی خطاب کیا
