Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur said that the teachers of mass communication should play their positive role to further improve the performance of media in Pakistan. He was talking to delegation from the Institution of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, headed by Prof. Dr. Bushra H.Rehman and other members of Media Teachers Association. The Vice Chancellor apprised them about different development projects of physical and academic infrastructure in the University. The members of the delegate appreciated the vision of the Vice Chancellor and reformation to transform according to the future needs of the country. They hoped that the model of IUB will be an example for other institutions of higher education in Pakistan.  The delegation also visited the Department of Media Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Addressing the faculty members and students, Dr. Bushra briefed regarding AMCAP and stated that its main objective is to bring the academia and the media professionals closer so that they should be benefited from the experiences and knowledge of each other for the purpose of improving the quality of media education and functioning of media in Pakistan. She also invited students and faculty members to join the doctoral spring school and international conference being organized in February, 2021.The students and faculty members welcomed the members of delegation and termed their visit as a great opportunity of networking with academia and scholars. All faculty members including Prof. Dr. Sajjad Paracha, Prof. Dr. Wajid khan, Dr. Abida Noureen, Dr.Awais Gillani,  Dr. Zubair Jatoi , Dr. Malik Adnan, Ali Hassan and Shafaq Manzoor, Associate Lecturers and large number of MPhil and PhD students attended the session and discussed various academic matters with visiting scholars Dr. Abida Ashraf, Dr. Fawad Mehmood of Punjab University, Dr. Zahid Bilal from Okara University and Dr. Zaeem Yasin  from Lahore College for Women University.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا ہے کہ صحافت کی تعلیم سے وابستہ اساتذہ کا پاکستان میں میڈیا کی ترقی اور ترویج میں انتہائی اہم کردار ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کمیونیکیشن سٹڈیز یونیورسٹی آف پنجاب سے آئے ہوئے وفد سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ وفد کی سربراہی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر بشریٰ ایچ رحمن کر رہی تھیں۔اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں تدریسی، تحقیقی اور ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں سے متعلق آگاہ کیا اور بتایا کہ جامعہ مختصر عرصے میں قومی اور عالمی اُفق پر ایک بہترین اعلیٰ تعلیمی اِدارے کے طور پر اُبھری ہے۔ وفد کے اراکین نے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے شعبے میں وائس چانسلر کے ویژن کو سراہا اور اُسے دوسری جامعات کے لیے ایک بہترین ماڈل قرار دیا۔ پنجاب یونیورسٹی سے آئے ہوئے وفد نے شعبہ میڈیا سٹڈیز کا دور ہ کیا اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سجاد احمد پراچہ اور اساتذہ کرام سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کمیونیکشن سٹڈیز سے خصوصی بریفنگ دی اور پاکستان میں میڈیا کے شعبے سے متعلق تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ کے اساتذہ اور سکالر آئندہ سیشن میں ڈاکٹرل پروگرام میں پنجاب یونیورسٹی سے استفادہ کر سکتے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر واجد علی خان، ڈاکٹر عابدہ نورین، ڈاکٹر اویس گیلانی، ڈاکٹر زبیر جتوئی، ڈاکٹر ملک عدنان، علی حسن، شفق منظور اور ایسوسی ایٹ لیکچرر موجود تھے۔
