Department of Pathology, Faculty of V&AS, IUB investigated an ongoing disease outbreak at region areas

The Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has always been striving to extend the disease diagnostic services to local & remote area and native herdsmen. Keeping in view, on the request of Livestock & Dairy Development (L&DD) Department South Punjab and Directorate of Livestock, Cholistan; a team of two pathologists Dr. Muhammad Shahzad and Dr. Riaz Hussain from Department of Pathology, IUB investigated an ongoing disease outbreak at remote area of Cholistan region, Fort Abbas, District Bahawalnagar. The Pathologists conducted the postmortem examination of various animals for two days to rule out the disease diagnosis. Based on their findings, the animals were treated accordingly. L&DD Department and Directorate of Livestock, Cholistan felicitated the efforts made by the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

 شعبہ پلانٹ پیتھالوجی، فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے محکمہ لائیوسٹاک اینڈ ڈیری ڈویلپمنٹ (ایل اینڈ ڈ ی ڈی) محکمہ جنوبی پنجاب اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف لائیو سٹاک، چولستان کے تعاون سے چولستان کے علاقے فورٹ عباس، ضلع بہاولنگر کے ایک دور دراز علاقے میں مقامی مویشیوں میں پھیلی ہوئی بیمار سے متعلق تحقیقی سروے کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر محمد شہزاد اور ڈاکٹر ریاض حسین نے مختلف بیماریوں سے مرنے والے جانوروں کا پوسٹ مارٹم کیا اور بیمار جانوروں کا معائنہ کرتے ہوئے اس حوالے سے مقامی جانور پال حضرات کو رہنمائی اور ادویات فراہم کیں۔
