Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, has said that in the age of globalization, only the nations which are technology oriented will be successful. Information technology must be used to make teaching and administrative matters efficient, fast and transparent. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views during a training session held a few days ago on effective use and monitoring of learning management system for online teaching. Organized by the Executive Training Center, the Directorate of Information Technology and the Directorate of Academics, the training session was attended by Deans, Directors and Heads of Teaching and Administrative Departments. In view of the increase in numbers of students, teachers and officers of the Information Directorate will have to work together to maintain the quality of education and the quality of teaching materials up to international standards. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is overcoming the challenges of the Covid-19 crisis in two semesters saved thousands of students valuable time. Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal said that according to the vision of the Vice Chancellor, the Learning Management System was successfully launched by the IT Directorate last year in the situation of Covid-19 and lockdown. It is the result of the hard work and dedication of our teachers and IT officers. In order to maintain this success, the monitoring chain also needs to be strengthened. Director Information Rizwan Majeed gave a detailed briefing on the teaching and management modules of the Learning Management System on this occasion. He also briefed about the new expenditure schedule and TADA modules related to administrative and financial matters. He answered the questions of the audience on the occasion and said that the learning management system is a continuous process that is being improved over time and this process of reform is not possible without the cooperation of teachers and officers.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے کہا ہے کہ عالمگیریت کے اس دور میں ٹیکنالوجی سے استفادہ کرنے والی قومیں ہی کامیابی سے ہمکنار ہو ں گی۔ تدریسی اور انتظامی معاملات کو موثر، تیز رفتار اور شفاف بنانے کے لیے انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کو بروئے کار لانا ہوگا۔وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آن لائن ٹیچنگ کے دوران لرننگ مینجمنٹ سسٹم کے موثر استعمال اور نگرانی کے موضوع پرگزشتہ دنوں منعقد ہونے والے ایک تربیتی سیشن میں کیا۔ ایگزیکٹو ٹریننگ سنٹر، ڈائریکٹوریٹ آٖ ف انفامیشن ٹیکنالوجی اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اکیڈمکس کے زیر اہتمام ہونے والے اس تربیتی سیشن میں ڈینز، ڈائریکٹرز اور تدریسی وانتظامی شعبہ جات کے سربراہان نے شرکت کی۔وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ طلباء و طالبات کی تعداد میں تیزی سے ہونے والے اضافے کے پیش نظرتعلیمی معیار کو برقرار رکھنے اور تدریسی مواد کی کوالٹی عالمی معیار کے مطابق رکھنے کے لیے اساتذہ اور انفارمیشن ڈائریکٹوریٹ سے وابستہ افسران کو یکسو ہو کر کام کرنا ہوگا۔انہوں نے اس بات کو خوش آئند قرار دیاکہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے گزشتہ دو سمسٹرز میں کووڈ 19بحران سے درپیش چیلنچزکا مقابلہ کرتے ہوئے ہزاروں طلباء وطالبات کا قیمتی وقت اور والدین کا سرمایہ بچایا۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبا ل نے کہا کہ وائس چانسلر کے ویژن کے مطابق گزشتہ برس کووڈ 19اور لاک ڈان کی صورت حال پر آئی ٹی ڈائریکٹوریٹ کی جانب سے لرننگ مینجمنٹ سسٹم کا کامیابی سے آغاز کیا گیا۔گزشتہ ایک سال کی کامیابی ہمارے اساتذہ اور آئی ٹی افسران کی محنت اور لگن کا نتیجہ ہے۔ اس کامیابی کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے مانیٹرنگ کا سلسلہ بھی مضبوط بنانا ہوگا۔ڈائریکٹر انفامیشن رضوان مجید نے اس موقع پر لرننگ مینجمنٹ سسٹم کے تدریسی اور انتظامی ماڈیولز پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔انہوں نے مائی آئی یوبی پورٹل کے ذریعے تدریسی سرگرمی، لیکچرڈیلیوری، اسائمنٹ اور امتحانات کے طریقہ کار کو بیان کیا۔اس کے علاوہ انہوں نے انتظامی اور مالیاتی امور کے متعلق ماڈیولزنئے اخراجات کے شیڈول اور ٹی اے ڈی اے کے ماڈیولزکے متعلق بھی بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے اس موقع پر حاضرین کے سوالات کا جواب دیااور بتایا کہ لرننگ مینجمنٹ سسٹم ایک لگاتاراور مسلسل عمل ہے جس میں وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ بہتری لائی جا رہی ہے اور اصلاح کا یہ عمل اساتذہ اور افسران کے تعاون کے بغیر ممکن نہیں۔تربیتی سیشن میں نظامت کے فرائض شہیر رضوی، مینجرایگزیکٹو ٹریننگ سنٹر نے انجام دیئے۔
