Dr. Allama Muhammad Tahir presented his book "Riyasat Bahawalpur ka Nizam e Mumlikat" to the Vice Chancellor of IUB

Bahawalpur (PR) Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, said that Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan was a wise, creative, affable, eloquent, brilliant, and honorable ruler. He ruled the state with his style of governance. It left a deep impression on the culture, economy and society of Bahawalpur. The Vice-Chancellor expressed these views on the occasion of his meeting with Dr. Allama Muhammad Tahir yesterday. On this occasion, Dr. Allama Muhammad Tahir presented his book "Riyasat Bahawalpur ka Nizm e Mumlikat" to the Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor said that this region was the cradle of religious and communal harmony, equality and tolerance, knowledge and literature in Nawab Sahib. He left no stone unturned to make Bahawalpur a modern, developed and prosperous state. In fact, this area had become a mini-Pakistan even before the establishment of Pakistan. Educational and agricultural reforms, the people were prosperous. The social development of the region was exemplary through to special attention given to areas such as education and public health. The Nawab of Bahawalpur was actually a born ruler and from his childhood he had keenly observed the glory of the British Empire and the development in Europe. He also made a strong and successful attempt to apply it to this remote area. The Nawab of Bahawalpur, through to the Sutlej Valley project, turned the desert into a chamistan, which increased resources and income, modernized and stabilized institutions, paid close attention to military discipline and improved the ideological and geographical boundaries of the state. There is a need to remember the life of Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V as a bright example and convey the positive aspects to the new generation. On this occasion Shahzad Ahmed Khalid Director Press Media and Publications, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain Director Center for Media, Society and Democracy and Zahid Sulaiman Additional Director University Printing Press were present.

بہاول پور (پ ر) انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا کہ سر صادق محمد خان ایک باذوق، خلیق، ملنسار، مرنجاں مرنج، جوہر شناس اور صاحب ِ جلال وجمال حاکم تھے۔ انہوں نے اپنے طرزِ حکمرانی سے ریاست بہاول پور کے تمدن، معاش اور سماج پر گہرے نقوش ثبت کیے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہارگزشتہ روز ڈاکٹر علامہ محمد طاہر سے ملاقات کے موقع پر کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر علامہ محمد طاہر نے وائس چانسلر کو اپنی کتاب  ”ریاست بہاول پور کا نظمِ مملکت“ پیش کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ نواب صاحب کے میں یہ خطہ مذہبی اور فرقہ ورانہ ہم آہنگی، مساوات ورواداری، عدل وانصاف اور علم و ادب کا گہوارہ تھا۔ انہوں نے بہاول پور کو ایک جدید، ترقی یافتہ اور خوش حال ریاست بنانے میں کسی طرح کی کوئی کسر نہ چھوڑی۔ حقیقت میں یہ علاقہ قیامِ پاکستان سے قبل ہی مِنی پاکستان بن چکا تھا۔ تعلیمی اور زرعی اصلاحات کی بدولت عوام آسودہ حال تھے۔ تعلیم اور صحتِ عامہ جیسے شعبوں پر خصوصی توجہ کی بدولت علاقے کی سماجی ترقی اپنی مثال آپ تھی۔ نواب آف بہاول پور دراصل پیدائشی حکمران تھے اور انہوں نے بچپن ہی سے سلطنت برطانیہ کے جاہ و جلال کا گہرا مشاہدہ کیا تھا اور یورپ میں ہونے والی ترقی کو اس دور افتادہ علاقے پر لاگو کرنے کی بھرپوراور کامیاب سعی بھی کی۔ نواب آف بہاول پور نے ستلج ویلی پراجیکٹ کی بدولت ریگستان کو چمنستان بنا دیا جس سے وسائل اور آمدنی میں اضافہ ہوا، اداروں کو جدید اور مستحکم بنایا گیا، فوجی نظم ونسق پر بھی بھرپور توجہ دی اور ریاست کی نظریاتی و جغرافیائی سرحدوں کی احسن انداز میں حفاظت کی۔ ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ سر صادق محمد خان الخامس کی زندگی کو ایک روشن مثال کے طور پر یاد رکھا اور مثبت پہلوؤں کو نئی نسل تک پہنچایا جائے۔ اس موقع پرشہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنز، ڈاکٹر جام سجاد حسین ڈائریکٹر سنٹر فارمیڈیا، سوسائٹی اینڈ ڈیموکریسی اور زاہد سلیمان ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر یونیورسٹی پرینٹنگ پریس موجود تھے۔
