Dean’s Message

I consider it an honor to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences (FC&BS) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The FC&BS comprises Institutes/Departments with total six departments; Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Botany, Chemistry and Zoology. These dedicated departments form the backbone of research and teaching at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The priority of our faculty is to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, enhance research output, and ensure that our graduates are equipped with both knowledge and practical competence. Commitment of FC & BS is to uphold academic excellence while fostering critical thinking, research, and ethical conduct among our students and the faculty. We combine rigorous academic training with modern pedagogical practices to prepare students for the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

FC&BS aims to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are challenged, and learning extends beyond the classroom through research, community engagement, and collaboration. We encourage our students to approach their studies with dedication and integrity, and our faculty members to continue pursuing research that contributes meaningfully to their fields and to the development of our region.

The strength of any university lies in the quality of its research and its impact on society. As Dean, I am committed to supporting faculty in pursuing original research, securing external grants, and publishing in reputable journals. I encourage collaboration across departments and with external institutions to tackle real-world problems relevant to our region. Let us strive to make this faculty a center of academic inquiry that is recognized both nationally and internationally.
