Dean’s Message

As the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, it is my privilege to welcome you on an exciting and rewarding journey of academic and career growth. The Faculty currently comprises 6 departments/institutes, including Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology. Together, we support a vibrant community of 6,500 students and 260 highly qualified teaching and research faculty.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality science programs, foster interdisciplinary research, and align our efforts with the university’s long-term strategic goals. The curriculum is carefully designed to provide students with essential academic skills, including laboratory techniques, problem-solving, critical thinking, presentation, and academic writing. Beyond academics, we offer a dynamic student experience through extracurricular activities organized by student clubs, helping students develop invaluable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication. The Office of the Dean is committed to supporting students by prioritizing their learning, well-being, and career development. Through mentorship programs, research opportunities, and the use of modern technology including the ethical use of AI and its main streaming in curricula, we aim to meet international standards and adhere to the guidelines set by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Our graduates’ success speaks to the quality of education and research offered at our faculty. Many secure direct admission to prestigious foreign universities for PhD studies, a testament to their exceptional preparation and the recognition of their skills globally. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm. Our staff is always available to assist with questions, concerns, or suggestions, ensuring that every student feels empowered to thrive.
