IUB organized a seminar on the opportunities and challenges of Online and Distance Education

Faculty of Distance Education the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a seminar on the opportunities and challenges associated with online and distance education in Pakistan. The main objective of the seminar was to identify strategies to maximize the potential benefits of online and distance education. Dean Faculty of Online and Distance Education Prof. Dr. Akhtar Ali said that digitalization of education in Pakistan and its perspectives should be paid attention to and under the guidance of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has implemented an excellent IT system-based package for distance education system. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur distance education system is easy and feasible due to online portal, especially during the covid-19 crisis, all educational activities were successfully conducted on this system. Deputy Director IDE Dr. Najam ul Kashif praised the efforts of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for the facilities provided in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for distance education and said that there has been rapid progress in distance education. Additional Director IT Dr. Nasir Aftab also participated in the event. A large number of senior teachers and students participated in the seminar.

فیکلٹی آف فاصلاتی تعلیم اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی جانب سے پاکستان میں آن لائن اور فاصلاتی تعلیم سے وابستہ مواقع اور چیلنجز کے بارے میں ایک سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ سیمینار کا بنیادی مقصد آن لائن اینڈ ڈسٹنس ایجوکیشن میں ممکنہ فوائد کو زیادہ سے زیادہ کرنے کے لیے حکمت عملی ارجل کی نشاندہی کرنا تھا۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف آن لائن اینڈ ڈسٹنس ایجوکیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اختر علی نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں تعلیم کی ڈیجیٹلائزیشن اور اس کے تناظر پر توجہ دینی چاہیے اور وائس چانسلر انجنیئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی رہنمائی میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے فاصلاتی نظام تعلیم کے لیے ایک بہترین آئی ٹی نظام پر مبنیٰ پیکج نافذ کیا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور فاصلاتی نظام تعلیم آن لائن پورٹل پر ہونیکے سبب انسان سہل اور قابل عمل ہے خصوصا کووڈ 19 بحران کے دوران تمام تعلیمی سرگرمیاں اسی نظام پر کامیابی سے چلائی گئیں۔ ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر آئی ڈی ای ڈاکٹر نجم الکاشف نے فاصلاتی تعلیم کے لیے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورمیں فراہم کی جانے والی سہولیات پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی کوششوں کی تعریف کی اور کہا کہ فاصلاتی تعلیم میں تیزی سے ترقی ہوئی ہے۔ ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر آئی ٹی ڈاکٹر ناصر آفتاب نے بھی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔ سیمینار میں سینئر اساتذہ کرام اور طلباء و طالبات کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔
