First international conference on innovation in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at IUB

Institute of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and Department of Chemistry, Government Sadiq Women University, Bahawalpur jointly organized the first international conference on innovation in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. More than 100 delegates from Egypt, Japan, Iran, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, China and Pakistani universities are participating in the conference. In his message to the conference, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that the participation of national and international experts in the conference is providing a platform to academia, researchers and institutions related to research and development. Apart from various fields of chemistry, experts will also discuss environment and agriculture. Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum said that there are advancements and challenges in chemical and biological sciences and solutions to the challenges faced. She said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a historical university which was established in 1925 and currently more than 2000 teachers and 65 thousand students are studying in sciences, social sciences, arts, religious studies, medical and other fields in 16 faculties. She appreciated the participation of domestic and foreign delegates in the conference and welcomed them. Vice Chancellor Government Sadiq Women University Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Saiqa Imtiaz Asif said that this conference is a joint effort of two universities and will give Bahawalpur region a unique position in the field of chemistry. Gunma University Japan, Prof. Dr. Hiroyuki Oku, University of Malaya Egypt, Prof. Dr. Hesham R. El-Seedi spoke in the opening session. Director Institute of Chemistry Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf said that the Department of Chemistry was established in 1925 and was upgraded in 2021 to integrate scientific research according to contemporary challenges. He said that it is very important to hold the conference in South Punjab where eminent domestic and foreign delegates are participating. Dr. Mirza Imran Shahzad, focal person of the conference, said that the important topics of the conference are advanced methods in chemical and biological sciences, latest developments in genetics, molecular biology and applied biology, plant genetics and environmental biology, nanotechnology and computational biology, mechanisms of bio-dick and a-bio-dick stress and tolerance in biological systems, role of bioengineering in drug discovery and molecular therapy, and green energy for a safe and sustainable environment. Director IBBB, Dr. Khawaja Muhammad Iqbal said that this conference will lead to great progress in the latest fields. In the closing session, the focal person of the conference, Dr. Mirza Imran Shahzad, thanked the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for his special support and guidance in organizing the conference.

انسٹی ٹیو ٹ آف کیمسٹری، بائیو ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ بائیو انفارمیٹکس اور انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف کیمسٹری گورنمنٹ صادق ویمن یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے اشتراک سے کیمسٹری، بائیو کیمسٹری، بائیو ٹیکنالوجی اور بائیو انفارمیٹکس میں جدت کے موضوع پر پہلی بین الاقوامی کانفرنس منعقد ہوئی۔ کانفرنس میں مصر، جاپان، ایران، جرمنی، سوئزر لینڈ، نیوزی لینڈ، چین اور پاکستانی جامعات سے 100 سے زائد مندوبین شریک ہیں۔ کانفرنس کے نام اپنے پیغام میں وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ کانفرنس میں ملکی اور غیر ملکی ماہرین کی شرکت اکیڈمیا، محققین اور ریسرچ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ سے تعلق رکھنے والے اداروں کو ایک پلیٹ فارم مہیا کررہی ہے۔ ماہرین کیمیا کے مختلف شعبوں کے علاوہ ماحولیات اور ایگریکلچر پر بھی بات کریں گے۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم نے کہا کہ کیمیکل اور بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز میں ایڈونسمنٹ اینڈ چیلنجز اور در پیش چیلنجز کا حل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ایک تاریخی یونیورسٹی ہے جو 1925میں قائم ہوئی اور اس وقت یونیورسٹی میں 16فیکلٹیوں میں 2000 سے زائد اساتذہ اور 65 ہزار طلباء وطالبات سائنسز، سوشل سائنسز، آرٹس، دینی علوم، میڈیکل اور دیگر شعبوں میں تعلیم حاصل کررہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کانفرنس میں شریک ملکی اور غیر ملکی مندوبین کی شرکت کو سراہا اور انہیں خوش آمدید کہا۔ اجلاس میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر گورنمنٹ صادق ویمن یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر صاعقہ امتیاز نے کہا کہ یہ کانفرنس دو جامعات کی مشترکہ کاوش ہے اور کیمیا کے میدان میں خطہ بہاول پور کو منفرد مقام عطا کرے گی۔ افتتاحی سیشن میں گنما یونیورسٹی جاپان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ہرویوکی اوکو،اپسل یونیورسٹی جاپان، پروفیسرڈاکٹرہشام آر السعیدی نے خطاب کیا۔ ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالراؤف نے کہا کہ شعبہ کیمسٹری 1925 میں قائم ہوااور 2021 میں اپ گریڈ کر دیا گیا تاکہ سائنسی تحقیق کو دور حاضر کے چیلنجز کے مطابق مربوط کیا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب میں کانفرنس کا انعقاد بہت اہم ہے جہاں پر نامور ملکی اور غیر ملکی مندوبین شریک ہیں۔ کانفرنس کے فوکل پرسن ڈاکٹر مرزا عمران شہزاد نے کہا کہ کانفرنس کے اہم موضوعات میں کیمیکل اور بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز میں ایڈونس طریقہ کار، جینیات مارکولر بائیو لوجی اور اپلائیڈ بائیو لوجی میں جدید ترین پیش رفت، پلانٹ جینامکس اور ماحولیات حیاتیات، نینو ٹیکنالوجی اور کمپیونیشنل سائنسز کے شعبے میں ہونیوالی دریافتیں، حیاتیاتی نظام میں بائیو ڈک اور اے بائیو ڈک دباؤ اور برداشت کا طریقہ کار، ڈرگ ڈسکوری اور مالیکولرتھراپی میں بائیو انجینئرنگ کا کردار اور محفوظ اور دیرپا ماحول کے لیے گرین انرجی جیسے موضوعات شامل ہیں۔ ڈائریکٹر آئی بی بی بی، ڈاکٹرخواجہ محمد اقبال نے کہا کہ  یہ کانفرنس جدید ترین شعبوں سے متعلق بہت بڑی پیش رفت کا باعث بننے گی۔ اختتامی اجلا س میں کانفرنس کے فوکل پرسن ڈاکٹر مرزا عمران شہزاد نے کانفرنس کے انعقاد میں خصوصی تعاون اور رہنمائی پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
