Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Abbasia Campus on the occasion of 75th Independence Day

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur celebrated Pakistan's 75th Independence Day with enthusiasm. The main flag hoisting ceremony was held at Abbasia Campus. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor hoisted the flag along with Deans, senior teachers, students and recited the national anthem. In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that Muslims ruled the subcontinent of Pakistan and India for a thousand years. After that, 150 years of slavery was also seen, the main reason of which was the distance from education and modern sciences. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan took up the task of exposing the Muslims to modern sciences and Aligarh Muslim University was established. Hazrat Allama Iqbal showed the dream of a separate homeland to the Muslims of the subcontinent through the Allahabad sermon, which was translated into reality by Hazrat Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with his foresight and great struggle. Pakistan today is a reality and has a great success story. In the last 75 years, we have made our name in the world in every field. He said that only education is the ladder of development. 5000 employees and 55,000 students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are playing their role well in the development of the dear motherland. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has now become the largest university in the country and is shining prominently in the national and international rankings. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will continue in the month of August. These include performing arts show, drama and national song competitions, online webinar on Kashmir Siege Day, painting, poster, sketch, face painting competitions, sports competitions including table tennis, volleyball, badminton, tug of war and football are included. Apart from this, Qirat and Naat competitions, Urdu and English essay competitions, quiz competitions, tree plantation, poetry competitions and documentary competitions will be organized. TDCP bus was the center of special attention in the event. University employees participated in the city parade organized by the district administration in a special bus. On this occasion, a special national song prepared by the Directorate of Students' Affairs, Nazria-i-Pakistan Society was also presented.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں یوم آزادی کی مرکزی تقریب عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر نے پرچم کشائی کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈینز، سینئر اساتذہ کرام، طلبا وطالبات موجود تھے۔ اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ مسلمانوں نے برصغیر پاک وہند پر ایک ہزار برس حکومت کی۔ اس کے بعد 150برس کا دورِ غلامی بھی دیکھا جس کی بنیادی وجہ تعلیم اور جدید علوم سے دوری تھی۔ سر سید احمد خان نے مسلمانوں کو دورِ جدید کے علوم سے روشناس کرنے کا بیڑا اُٹھایا اور علی گڑھ مسلم یونیورسٹی کا قیام عمل میں آیا۔ حضرت علامہ اقبال نے خطبہ ا لہ آباد کے ذریعے برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کو ایک علیحدہ وطن کا خواب دکھایا جسے حضرت قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح نے اپنے تدبر اور عظیم جدوجہد سے عملی تعبیر دی۔ پاکستان آج ایک حقیقت ہے اور کامیابیوں کی ایک عظیم داستان کا حامل ہے۔ ہم نے گزشتہ 75برسوں میں ہر شعبے میں دنیا میں اپنا نام روشن کیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ صرف اور صرف تعلیم ہی ترقی کا زینہ ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے 5000ملازمین اور 55,000طلباء وطالبات کی وطن ِعزیز کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار بخوبی نبھا رہے ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اس وقت ملک کی سب سے بڑی جامعہ بن چکی ہے اور ملکی و بین الاقوامی درجہ بندی میں نمایاں طور پر جگمگا رہی ہے۔  اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں پاکستان کی ڈائمنڈ جوبلی تقریبات ماہ اگست میں جاری رہے گی۔ ان میں پرفارمنگ آرٹس شو، ڈرامہ اور ملی نغمہ کے مقابلے، آن لائن ویبینار یوم استحصال کشمیر، پینٹنگ، پوسٹر، سکیچ، فیس پینٹنگ کے مقابلے، کھیلوں کے مقابلے جن میں ٹیبل ٹینس، والی بال، بیڈ منٹن، ٹگ آف وارا ور فٹ بال کے مقابلے شامل ہیں۔اس کے علاوہ قرات اینڈنعت کے مقابلے، اردواور انگریزی تقریری مقابلے،کوئز مقابلے، شجر کاری مہم، شاعری کے مقابلے اورڈاکیومنٹری کے مقابلے منعقد کیے جائیں گے۔ تقریب میں ٹی ڈی سی پی کی بس خصوصی توجہ کا مرکز رہی۔ یونیورسٹی ملازمین نے خصوصی بس میں ضلعی انتظامیہ کی جانب سے منعقد کی گئی سٹی پریڈ میں شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئر نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی کی جانب سے تیارکردہ خصوصی ملی نغمہ بھی پیش کیا گیا۔
