Governor Punjab Engr. Muhammad Baligh-ul-Rahman appreciated the outstanding progress of the IUB in international ranking

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur met with Engr. Muhammad Baligh ul Rahman, Honourable Governor Punjab and Chancellor at Governor House Lahore today.  On this occasion, Governor Punjab praised IUB's tremendous rise in international ranking during the last three years. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur stands at top position in the Southern Punjab and at 2nd position in the Punjab besides joining the top 800 universities club in the World University Rankings of the Times Higher Education. The Vice Chancellor also apprised the Chancellor about the progress on Consortium on Climate Change, Sustainability and Conservation leading the universities in the province on environmental issues. The Chancellor also praised the recently held convocation ceremony presided over by him at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Governor also lauded the flood relief campaign run by the faculty and students of the IUB. The Vice Chancellor also briefed about academic and research activities going on at the campus and progress on development projects.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب، وائس چانسلر، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور نے گورنر پنجاب اور چانسلر انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمان سے  گورنر ہاؤس لاہور میں ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر گورنر پنجاب نے گزشتہ تین سالوں کے دوران بین الاقوامی رینکنگ میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی شاندار ترقی کو سراہا۔ ٹائمز ہائر ایجوکیشن کی ورلڈ یونیورسٹی رینکنگ میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور جنوبی پنجاب میں ٹاپ پوزیشن پر اور پنجاب میں دوسرے نمبر پر آئ ہے اور دنیا کی  ٹاپ 800 یونیورسٹیز میں شامل ہو گئی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے چانسلر کو ماحولیاتی مسائل پر صوبے کی جامعات کی قیادت کرنے والے ماحولیاتی تبدیلی، بقا اور تحفظ کے کنسورشیم پر ہونے والی پیش رفت سے بھی آگاہ کیا۔ چانسلر نے حال ہی میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں اپنی  زیر صدارت منعقدہ کانووکیشن کی تقریب کو بھی سراہا۔ گورنر پنجاب نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے فیکلٹی اور طلباء کی طرف سے چلائی گئی سیلاب امدادی مہم کی بھی تعریف کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے کیمپس میں جاری تعلیمی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں اور ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر پیشرفت کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا۔
