Honourable Governor and Chancellor, Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman appreciated the flood relief activities of IUB

Honourable Governor Punjab and Chancellor, Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman has praised the flood relief efforts by the faculty, employees and students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Governor expressed these views during a meeting with Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur at Governor House, Lahore. On this occasion , the Vice Chancellor presented a cheque of Rs. 5.8 million to the Chancellor from the faculty and staff of the University for the flood relief fund. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor apprised the Governor about flood relief activities by the flood relief cell of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur under a focal person Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman, Social Work Department . The University has provided flood relief goods worth Rs. 20 million including ration bags, medicines and veterinary services for the people of flood hit areas of the Southern Punjab including Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan districts. Prof. Dr. Abubakar, Treasurer, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was also present on this occasion. The Vice Chancellor also briefed the Governor about academic and development activities at the University and progress to set-up new campuses at Ahmed Pur East and Liaquatpur. He also invited Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman to preside the 17th convocation of the University and meeting of the University Senate in mid October. The Governor shared his consent to preside the convocation as well as other University events during his upcoming visit to Bahawalpur.

گورنر پنجاب وچانسلر انجینئر محمدبلیغ الرحمن نے سیلاب زدگان کی امداد کے لئے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے اساتذہ،ملازمین اور طلبا ؤ طالبات کی کوششوں کو سراہا ہے۔گورنر پنجاب نے ان خیالات کا اظہار وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب سے گورنر ہاؤس لاہور میں ملاقات کے دوران کیا۔اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے گورنرپنجاب کواسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورکی جانب سے فلڈریلیف مہم کے لیے 58 لاکھ روپے کا چیک پیش کیا۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے گورنر پنجاب کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں جاری فلڈریلیف مہم کی تفصیلات سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ یونیورسٹی نے سینئرفیکلٹی ممبروفوکل پرسن فلڈریلیف مہم پروفیسرڈاکٹرآصف نویدرانجھا کی نگرانی میں اب تک دو کروڑ روپے سے زائد مالیت کا راشن اور امدادی سامان راجن پور، ڈیرہ غازی خان اور اور رحیم یار خان کے سیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقوں میں تقسیم کیا ہے۔ملاقات کے دوران خزانہ دار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر بھی موجود تھے۔وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے گورنر پنجاب کو یونیورسٹی میں جاری تدریسی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں اور احمد پور،لیاقت پور سب کیمپسزمیں داخلوں سے متعلق تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے گورنر پنجاب کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے 18ویں کانووکیشن اور سینٹ کے اجلاس کی صدارت کے لئے بھی درخواست کی۔گورنر پنجاب نے کہا کہ وہ بہاولپور کے آئندہ دورہ میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں کانووکیشن اور دیگر سرگرمیوں میں شریک ہوں گے۔
