Inauguration of 10th International Seerat-ul-Nabi Conference organized by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

The 10th International Seerat-ul-Nabi Conference organized by Seerat Chair Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies the Islamia University of Bahawalpur began this morning at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus today. The conference on topic of human values and their impact on societies in the light of Seerat ul Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) was inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed, while presided over by the Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar. Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan, former Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was the guest of honor and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Al-Sharkavi Salem, Chairman the Department of Quranic Studies, Jamia Azhar Egypt and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saad Siddiqui, Jamia Punjab, Lahore delivered keynote speeches. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed said that values are a very important subject in Islam. The last Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him said that the religion was complete and final guidance for the whole humanity. The Minister added that on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah in 8 Hijri, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) displayed the excellent human values of forgiveness and tolerance. Allah loves those who do good deeds. He said that modesty is also a part of values because modest people are the adornment of the society. He said that we have learned scholars with us in the conference hall from whom we can gain a lot of knowledge about values. Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar said that Islamia University of Bahawalpur has a century long history and honor of dissemination of religious education in the Indo Pak sub-continent. In 1875, Madrasa Sadr Uloom Diyanet was founded. Later, it was called Jamia Abbasia, setting the standards of excellence in academic field. Eminent scholars from the Indian sub-continent performed teaching in Jamia Islamia. Today, the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies consist of 7 departments where departments of Arabic, Fiqha and Sharia, Hadith, Islamiat, Quranic studies, translation studies, World Religions and Interfaith Harmony are established. Apart from this, Seerat Chair is fully fulfilling the duty of projecting the Prophet's teachings. The arrival of the Federal Minister and delegates from domestic and foreign universities in the 10th International Seerat Conference is an honor for the faculty and students. Former Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan said that it is important to examine the factors of moral degradation of societies. We are a united Ummah whose aim is to implement high morals in the world and not to fall victim to moral degradation. Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiqur Rahman said in his address that adopting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Uswa Hasna is the way of life of every Muslim. It is very important to seek guidance in this era according to the life of the Prophet. In view of this objective, Seerat Chair was established in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 1987. Director Seerat Chair Prof. Dr. Hafiz Shafiqur Rehman said in his address that Seerat Chair the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Research Cell and Dawat and Tablighi Center is carrying out various activities in the Seerat Nabi (PBUH) in light of the eternal and universal message of the last Prophet. It can guide the pursuit of welfare for humanity. Seerat Chair has so far conducted 9 International Seerat Conferences, one International Quran Conference, one National Quran Conference, two National Seerat Conferences and three special lecture series in Bahawalpur in which Dr. Muhammad Hameedullah, Dr. Mahmood Ahmad Ghazi and Dr. Syed Salman Nadvi have participated. More than 100 delegates from Pakistan and abroad including Azhar University, Egypt are participating in the 10th international conference. After the inaugural session, the first parallel session was held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Abdul Qayyum, Punjab University, Lahore. The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain Langriyal, Chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, and the guest of honor was Dr. Ehsan Rahman Ghori, Department of Islamic Studies, Punjab University, Lahore. The second parallel session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Al-Sharkavi Salem, Chairman of Quranic Studies, Jamia Azhar Egypt. The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Abdul Qayyum, Director of Islamic Research Center, Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, and the guest of honor was Dr. Maqbool Hasan Gilani, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Times Institute, Multan. The third parallel session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saad Siddiqui, University of Punjab Lahore. The special guest was Prof. Dr. Mufti Saeedur Rahman, Institute of Southern Punjab Multan and the guest of honor was Dr. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Director Colleges Faisalabad. The fourth session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hamid Ashraf Punjab University Lahore. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idris Lodhi, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan was the chief guest and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Director, Seerat Chair, University of Okara, attended as the guest of honor.

سیر ت چیئر فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام دسویں بین الاقوامی سیرت النبی ﷺکانفرنس کا آغاز ہو گیا ہے۔ انسانی اقدار اور معاشروں پر ان کے اثرات سیرت النبیﷺ کی روشنی کے موضوع پر ہونے والی کانفرنس کا افتتاح وفاقی وزیر برائے مذہبی امور و بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی جناب انیق احمد نے کیا جبکہ کانفرنس کی صدارت وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق خاں سابق وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول مہمان اعزاز تھے اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد محمد الشرقاوی سالم چیئرمین شعبہ علوم قرآنیہ جامعہ ازہر مصر اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سعد صدیقی جامعہ پنجاب لاہور نے کلیدی خطبات ادا کیے۔ وفاقی وزیر برائے مذہبی امور و بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی جناب انیق احمد نے کہا کہ اسلام میں اقدار بہت اہم موضوع ہے۔ اقدار ایک قدر کی بنیاد اور حدود ہے۔ دین مکمل ہونے کا دعویٰ کسی رسول نے نہیں کیا سوائے رسول اللہﷺ کے۔ اللہ کے نبی ﷺ نے جو کام کیا وہ اخلاق بن گیا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہم نے آپﷺ کو اخلاق عظمیٰ پر فائز کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ 8 ہجری فتح مکہ کے موقع پر آپ ﷺ نے اسوہ حسنہ کا اعلیٰ کردار ادا کیا، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا آج رحمت کا دن ہے اور سب کو آزاد سے سرفراز کردیا۔ ہمارا دین ہمیں اقدار سیکھانا ہے۔ قرآن پاک کی سینکڑوں آیات موجود ہیں جن میں اقدار کا ذکر موجود ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ احسان کرنے والوں کو پسند فرماتا ہے احسان کرنا اقدار میں شامل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حیاء بھی اقدار کا حصہ ہے کیونکہ حیاء دار انسان معاشرے کی زینت ہوتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے ساتھ جید علماء کرام موجود ہیں جن سے ہم اقدار کے بارے میں بہت علم حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کہا کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ دینی تعلیم کی نشرو اشاعت کی ایک صدی کی طویل تاریخ اور اعزاز رکھتی ہے۔ 1875 میں مدرسہ صدر علوم دینیات کی بنیاد رکھی گئی۔ جو بعد میں ترقی کے مدارج طے کرتا ہوا جامعہ عباسیہ کہلایا۔ جس کا مقصد علوم اسلامیہ کی تعلیم و ترویج اورتحقیق کا فروغ تھا۔ برصغیر پاک و ہند کے جید علماء کرام نے جامعہ اسلامیہ میں درس و تدریس کے فرائض سرانجام دیئے۔ آج فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز 7 شعبہ جات پر مشتمل ہے جہاں پر عربی، فقہ و شریعہ، حدیث، اسلامیات، قرآنی تعلیمات، ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز، عالمی مذاہب اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے شعبہ جات قائم ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ سیرت چیئر تعلیمات ِ نبوی ﷺ کا فریضہ بھر پور انداز میں سرانجام دے رہی ہے۔ دسویں بین الاقوامی سیرت کانفرنس میں وفاقی وزیر اور ملکی اور غیر ملکی جامعات سے مندوبین کی آمد ہمارے لیے باعث اعزاز ہے۔ سابق وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق خان نے کہا کہ معاشروں کے اخلاقی انحطاط کے عوامل کا جائزہ لینا ضروری ہے۔ ہم تو ایک امت واحدہ ہیں جس کا مقصد اعلیٰ اخلاقیات کو دنیا میں نافذ کرنا ہے نہ کہ اخلاقی پستی اورتنزلی کا شکار ہو جائیں۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے اسوہ حسنہ کو اپنانا ہر مسلمان کا شیوہ حیات ہے۔ آپ ﷺ کی زندگی کے مطابق عصر حاضر میں رہنمائی حاصل کرنا نہایت ضروری ہے۔ اس مقصد کے پیش نظر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں سیرت چیئر 1987 میں قائم ہوئی۔ ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمن نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ سیرت چیئر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور سیرت نبوی ﷺ میں ریسرچ سیل اور دعوتی و تبلیغی سنٹر مختلف سرگرمیاں سرانجام دے رہی ہے تاکہ نبی آخری الزماں ﷺ کے ابدی اور آفاقی پیغام کی روشنی میں انسانیت کے لیے فلاح دارین کے حصول کی رہنمائی کی جا سکے۔ سیرت چیئر اب تک نو بین الاقوامی سیرت کانفرنس، ایک بین الاقوامی قرآن کانفرنس، ایک قومی قرآن کانفرنس، دو قومی سیرت کانفرنس اور تین خطبات بہاول پور کروا چکی ہے جن میں ڈاکٹر محمد حمید اللہ، ڈاکٹر محمود احمد غازی اور ڈاکٹر سید سلمان ندوی شرکت فرما چکے ہیں۔ دسویں بین الاقوامی کانفرنس میں جامعہ ازہر مصر اور پاکستان کی جامعات سے 100 سے زائد مندوبین شریک ہیں۔ افتتاحی سیشن کے بعد پہلا متوازی سیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبد القیوم پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور کی زیر صدارت منعقد ہوا۔ مہمان خصوصی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر الطاف حسین لنگڑیال چیئرمین شعبہ علوم اسلامیہ بہاء الدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان اور مہمان اعزاز ڈاکٹر احسان الرحمن غوری شعبہ علوم اسلامیہ پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور تھے۔ دوسرے متوازی سیشن کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد محمد الشر قاوی سالم چیئرمین علوم قرآنیہ جامعہ ازہر مصرنے کی۔ مہمان خصوصی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبد القیوم صہیب ڈائریکٹر اسلامک ریسرچ سینٹر بہاء الدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان اور مہمان اعزاز ڈاکٹر مقبول حسن گیلانی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز ٹائمز انسٹی ٹیوٹ ملتان تھے۔ تیسرے متوازی سیشن کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سعد صدیقی جامعہ پنجاب لاہور نے کی۔مہمان خصوصی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مفتی سعید الرحمن انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف سدرن پنجاب ملتان اور مہمان اعزاز ڈاکٹر حبیب الرحمن ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر کالجز فیصل آباد تھے۔چوتھے سیشن کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حامد اشرف ہمدانی پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور نے کی۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد ادریس لودھی بہاء الدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان مہمان خصوصی اور ڈاکٹر عبد الغفار ڈائریکٹر سیر ت چیئر یونیورسٹی آف اوکاڑہ نے مہمان اعزاز کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی۔
