Institute of Biochemistry, Biotechnology & Bioinformatics organized a seminar on "From Sequences to Solutions: Bacterial Genomics Data Analysis Tools and Databases for Innovative Therapeutic Approaches," at Jinnah Auditorium of Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On this occasion, Dr. Amjad Ali, a distinguished expert in the field of genomics and bioinformatics from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), attended as the resource person. Dr. Ali's extensive knowledge and research contributions in bacterial genomics make him an ideal choice to deliver insights into the latest tools and databases that are revolutionizing therapeutic approaches in this domain. The seminar provided a platform for students, researchers, and faculty members to gain valuable insights into the world of bacterial genomics data analysis. Dr. Ali discussed cutting-edge tools and databases that are driving innovation in the field, offering attendees the opportunity to expand their knowledge and explore new possibilities in their research and studies. Chairperson Department of Bioinformatics Dr. Muhammad Mahmood Ahmed said that the seminar is a part of our ongoing commitment to promote academic excellence and provide our students and faculty with access to the latest advancements in their respective fields. انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف بائیو کیمسٹری، بائیوٹیکنالوجی اینڈ بائیو انفارمیٹکس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے شعبہ بائیو انفارمیٹکس کے زیر اہتمام بیکٹیریل جینومکس ڈیٹا اینالیسس ٹولز اینڈ ڈیٹا بیسز کے موضوع پر ایک سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر نیشنل یونیورسٹی آف سائنسز اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی اسلام آباد کے جینومکس اور بائیو انفارمیٹکس کے شعبہ کے عالمی ماہر ڈاکٹر امجد علی نے خصوصی لیکچر دیا۔ ڈاکٹر امجد علی نے بیکٹیریا جنیات پر تحقیق کے حوالے سے عالمی شہرت رکھتے ہیں اور اس حوالے سے جدید ترین تحقیق اور عدادوشمار پر خصوصی دسترس رکھتے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر محمد محمود خان انچارج شعبہ بائیو انفارمیٹکس نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ سیمینار کے انعقاد کا مقصد فیکلٹی، محققین اور طلباء وطالبات کو عالمی معیار کے تدریسی و تحقیقی مواقعوں سے روشناس کرانا ہے تاکہ ہمار ے ہاں اکیڈمک ایکسیلنس کا حصول ممکن ہو سکے۔ انہوں نے سیمینار کے انعقاد پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، معزز مہمان ڈاکٹر امجد علی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز، ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف بائیو کیمسٹری، بائیوٹیکنالوجی اینڈ بائیو انفارمیٹکس، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فیض الحسن نسیم اور فیکلٹی ممبران کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
