Islamia University of Bahawalpur hosted the seminar on Kashmir Solidarity Day 2025.

Bahawalpur (PR) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen has said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. As declared by Quaid-e-Azam, we stand with the Kashmiris, considering our religious and moral responsibility in their freedom struggle from generation to generation. Our position on Kashmir is very clear. All members of the society at all levels should raise the voice for the freedom struggle of Kashmiris at the global level. Commissioner Bahawalpur expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day. She appreciated the organizing of a special event at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in solidarity with Kashmiris and the full participation of teachers and students and said that this enthusiasm is a reflection of our national sentiments. Chairperson of the Department of Pakistan Studies Dr. Rubina Yasmin said in her welcome address that academic work is being done on high-level research papers related to the Kashmir issue in the university along with teaching. Prof. Dr. Musawar Hussain Bukhari, Chairman of the Department of Political Science, said that in today’s world, human rights violations should be brought to every international forum to highlight the Kashmir issue. The democratic powers of the world should be convinced of the right of Kashmiris to plebecite. On the other hand, the geographical position of Kashmir is of utmost importance for Pakistan’s strong economy, protection of water resources and the success of CPEC. An economically strong Pakistan can play a vital role for the freedom of Kashmiris. Director of Students Affairs and Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, informed about the historical background of Kashmir and informed about various events and competitions related to Kashmir organized by student societies at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, especially Kashmir and Nazaria e Pakistan Society, Performing Art Society, Debating Society, Literary Society and Art and Photography Society. Advisor IUB Kashmir and Nazaria e Pakistan Society Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Tahir highlighted the importance of February 5 and said that India has usurped Kashmir by amending Article 35. The solution to this problem is possible only by implementing the United Nations resolution of February 5, 1948. On this occasion, Muhammad Ali Baloch in Urdu speech competition and Muhammad Taha in English spoke about the struggle for freedom of Kashmir. Aurangzeb, Ayesha Munir and Waqas Iqbal presented a Kashmiri song. The function was conducted by Dr. Sajila Kausar, Chairperson, Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony. بہاولپور (پ ر) کمشنر بہاولپور ڈویژن مسرت جبین نے کہا ہے کہ کشمیر پاکستان کی شہ رگ ہے۔ قائداعظم کے اس فرمان کے مطابق ہم نسل در نسل کشمیریوں کی جدوجہد آزادی میں اپنی مذہبی اور اخلاقی ذمہ داری سمجھتے ہوئے کشمیریوں کے ساتھ کھڑے ہیں۔ کشمیر پر ہمارا موقف بلکل واضح ہے۔ معاشرے کے تمام افراد ہر سطح پر کشمیریوں کی جدوجہد آزادی کی آواز عالمی سطح پر اٹھائیں۔ کمشنر بہاولپور نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کے سلسلے میں منعقدہ سیمینار سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے کشمیریوں سے یکجہتی کے لیے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں خصوصی تقریب کے انعقاد اور اساتذہ اور طلبا و طالبات کی بھر پور شرکت کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ ولولہ اور جوش ہمارے ملی جذبوں کا آئینہ دار ہے۔ چیئرپرسن شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین نے خطبہ استقبالیہ میں کہا کہ جامعہ میں مسئلہ کشمیر سے متعلق تدریس کے ساتھ ساتھ اعلیٰ سطح کے تحقیقی مقالات پر بھی کام ہورہا ہے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مصور حسین بخاری چیئرمین شعبہ سیاسیات نے کہا کہ آج کی دنیا میں مسئلہ کشمیر کو اجاگر کرنے کے لیے انسانی حقوق کی پامالیوں کو ہر عالمی فورم تک پہنچانا چاہیے۔ دنیا کی جمہوری طاقتوں کو کشمیریوں کے حق استصواب رائے سے باور کرایاجائے۔ دوسری طرف پاکستان کی مضبوط معیشت، آبی وسائل کے تحفظ اور سی پیک کی کامیابی کے لیے کشمیر کی جغرافیائی حیثیت انتہائی اہمیت کی حامل ہے۔ معاشی طور پر مضبوط پاکستان کشمیریوں کی آزادی کے لیے اہم کردار ادا کرسکتا ہے۔ ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز و ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز پروفیسرڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف نے کشمیر کے تاریخی پس منظر سے متعلق آگاہ کیا اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں طلبا سوسائیٹیز خصوصا کشمیر ونظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی، پرفارمنگ آرٹ سوسائٹی، ڈیبیٹنگ سوسائٹی، لٹریری سوسائٹی اور آرٹ اینڈ فوٹو گرافی سوسائٹی کے زیر اہتمام کشمیر کے حوالے مختلف تقریبات اور مقابلہ جات سے آگاہ کیا۔ ایڈوائزر آئی یو بی کشمیر و نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی ڈاکٹر محمد رمضان طاہر نے 5 فروری کے دن کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی اور کہا کہ ہندوستان نے آرٹیکل 35 میں ردوبدل کرکے کشمیر پر غاصبانہ قبضہ کر رکھا ہے۔ اس مسئلے کا حل اقوام متحدہ کی 5 فروری 1948 کی قرارداد پر عملدرآمد سے ہی ممکن ہے۔ اس موقع پر اردو تقریری مقابلے میں محمد علی بلوچ اور انگریزی میں محمد طحہ نے جدو جہد آزادی کشمیر سے متعلق اظہار خیال کیا۔ اورنگزیب، عائشہ منیر اور وقاص اقبال نے کشمیری نغمہ پیش کیا۔ تقریب کی نظامت کے فرائض ڈاکٹر سجیلہ کوثر چیئرپرسن شعبہ ادیان عالم وبین المذاہب ہم آہنگی نے سرانجام دیئے۔ تقر یب میں رجسٹرار محمد شجیع الرحمن، ڈائریکٹر ایڈوانسڈ اسٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، ڈائریکٹر میڈیا اینڈ پبلک ریلیشنز ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد، افسران، اساتذہ کرام اور طلبا و طالبات شریک ہوئے۔
