Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day workshop on course of Arabic for Understanding Quran

Department of Translation Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day workshop on course of Arabic for Understanding Quran. The workshop was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said that Muslims had successfully brought the message of Islam to Europe and China in the first century. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur made Quran comprehension course as a part of the curriculum so that leadership can be developed among the youth. The Vice-Chancellor praised Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning and Chairman Department of Translation Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman for the successful conduct of the Arabic for Understanding the Qur’an course. Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman introduced the department and informed the participants about the Arabic course for understanding the Qur'an, which has been going on for the past one year. He also informed the participants about the "Surat ul Quran Forum" approved by the university. On this occasion, the founder and chairman of Character Education Foundation Mahmood Ahmed thanked the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and Dean, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman for inviting the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and informed the Vice Chancellor and other guests about the introduction of their institution and the book compiled according to the university curriculum. In the workshop, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain Dean Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussain Tahar Dean Faculty of Computing, Prof. Dr. AbubakarTreasurer, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Pracha Controller of Examinations, Dr. Muqshof Ahmed Directorate of Academics, Dr. Azhar Hussain Directorate of Alumni Affairs, Dr. Shanayyara Mehmood Assistant Professor, focal persons and teachers of the department participated. It is important to share that on direction of Vice Chancellor Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Arabic for Quran comprehension course was organized three years ago for BS students. Former Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, with the support of Character Education Foundation, has prepared Arabic for Quran comprehension course for BS students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur the first year of which has been completed.

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ٹرانسلیشن سٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام ایک روزہ ورکشاپ بعنوان عربی برائے فہم قرآن کورس منعقد ہوئی۔ ورکشاپ کی صدارت وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کی۔ اپنے خطاب میں وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ مسلمانوں نے بڑی کامیابی سے اسلام کا پیغام پہلی صدی میں ہی یورپ و چین تک پہنچایا۔ ہماری ذمہ داری ہے کہ قرآن کے پیغام کے پھیلاو میں جو رکاوٹیں ہیں ان کو دور کریں اور دین کی نشر و اشاعت میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے قرآن فہمی کے کورس کو نصاب کا حصہ بنایا تاکہ نوجوانوں میں لیڈرشپ پیدا ہو اورمسلمانوں کو دنیا میں دوبارہ عروج حاصل ہو۔ وائس چانسلر نے ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک لرننگ و چیئر مین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ٹرانسلیشن سٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن کو عربی برائے فہم القرآن کورس کے کامیاب انعقاد پر مبارک باد دی۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک لرننگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے شعبہ کا تعارف پیش کیا اورگزشتہ ایک سال سے جاری کورس عربی برائے فہم قرآن کورس کے بارے میں شرکاء کو آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی سے منظور شدہ ”صوت القرآن فورم“ کے بارے میں بھی شرکاء کو آگاہ کیا۔اس موقع پر کریکٹر ایجوکیشن فاؤنڈیشن کے بانی و چیئر مین محمود احمد نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہالپور مدعو کرنے پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور اپنے ادارے کا تعارف اور یونیورسٹی کے نصاب کے مطابق مرتب کی جانے والی کتاب کے بارے میں وائس چانسلر ودیگر مہمانان گرامی کو آگاہ کیا۔ ورکشاپ میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ارشاد حسین ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایجوکیشن، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدارڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹکل سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد حسین طاہر ڈین فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکرخزانہ دار، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سجاد احمد پراچہ کنٹرولر امتحانات، ڈاکٹر مکشوف احمد ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اکیڈمکس، ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ایلومینائی افیئرز، شنیہراہ محمود اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر، فوکل پرسنز اور ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے اساتذہ کرام نے شرکت کی۔شرکاء نے اس کورس کے حوالہ سے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا اور کہا کہ اس کورس کی وجہ سے نوجوانوں میں بہت سی مثبت تبدیلیاں محسوس کی ہیں، قرآن سے ایک تعلق ان کے اندر پیدا ہوگیا ہے، اسی طرح سے مساجد میں حاضری میں بھی بے پناہ اضافہ دیکھنے کو ملا ہے۔ یہ با ت ہم ہے کہ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی خصوصی دلچسپی کی بدولت تین سال قبل بی ایس کے طلباء وطالبات کے لیے عربی برائے قرآن فہمی کا کورس مرتب کیا گیا۔ سابق پرنسپل قائد اعظم میڈیکل کالج پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید اقبال نے کریکٹر ایجوکیشن فاؤنڈیشن کے تعاون سے بی ایس کے طلباء وطالبات کے لیے عربی برائے قرآن فہمی کا کورس تیار کرویا جس کا پہلا سال مکمل ہو گیا ہے۔
