The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has achieved the status of international university as per the vision of Banyan Jamia and Nawabin Bahawalpur. Under the direction of Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, the Directorate of International Linkages is actively working to admission international students to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and is making international students a part of the university. Two students from the Republic of Yamen along with Director International Linkages Dr. Abid Shahzad met Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. These students include Bashar Ahmad Abdullah Muhammad Mohsin and Muhammad Salim Ali Muhammad Saleh. Both have enrolled in BS Software Engineering in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob welcomed the two international students to Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Both the students expressed their feelings of love and respect to the leadership, Pakistani students and teachers of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The students are very impressed with the university infrastructure and faculty and are keen to bring their fellow students to Islamia University of Bahawalpur in future. Director International Linkages said that many international students are contacting the directorate to join the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in the near future. He also informed that some ambassadors of brotherly countries are coming to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in the near future for bilateral relations. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of International Linkages in promoting international networking and cooperation and connecting with the outside world.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور بانیان جامعہ اور نوابین بہاول پور کے وژن کے مطابق بین الاقوامی یونیورسٹی کا درجہ حاصل کر چکی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی ہدایت پر ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف انٹرنیشنل لنکجز بین الاقوامی طلباء کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں داخلہ دینے کے لیے سرگرم عمل ہے اور بین الاقوامی طلباء کو یونیورسٹی کا حصہ بنا رہا ہے۔ جمہوریہ یمن کے دو طلباء نے ڈائریکٹر انٹرنیشنل لنکجز ڈاکٹر عابد شہزاد کے ہمراہ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب سے ملاقات کی۔ ان طلباء میں بشار احمد عبداللہ محمد محسن اور محمد سالم علی محمد صالح شامل ہیں۔ دونوں نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں بی ایس سافٹ ویئر انجینئرنگ میں داخلہ لیا ہے۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب نے دونوں بین الاقوامی طلباء کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں خوش آمدید کہا۔ دونوں طلباء نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی قیادت، پاکستانی طلباء اور اساتذہ سے محبت اور احترام کے جذبات کا اظہار کیا۔ طلبا یونیورسٹی  انفراسٹرکچر اور فیکلٹی سے کافی متاثرہوئے ہیں اور مستقبل میں اپنے ساتھی طلبا کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں لانے کے خواہشمند ہیں۔ ڈائریکٹر انٹرنیشنل لنکجز نے بتایا کہ بہت سے بین الاقوامی طلباء مستقبل قریب میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں شمولیت کے لیے ڈائریکٹوریٹ سے رابطہ کر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ برادر ممالک کے کچھ سفیر مستقبل قریب میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور آ رہے ہیں تاکہ دوطرفہ تعلقات اور تعاون پر بات چیت کر سکیں۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے بین الاقوامی نیٹ ورکنگ اور تعاون کو فروغ دینے اور بیرونی دنیا کے ساتھ جڑنے میں ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف انٹرنیشنل لنکجز کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔
