IUB observed International Anti-Corruption Day 2021

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) organized an awareness seminar and walk on International Anti-Corruption Day. Renowned columnist and senior journalist Naeem Masood delivered a special lecture on the occasion. He said that every individual of the society has to make an individual effort to eradicate corruption. Addressing the students, he said that in the bright future of Pakistan, they have to perform their duties in various fields. We have to not only spread the message against corruption in the society but also act on it ourselves going forward. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Director Student Affairs Rizwan Majeed, Additional Director Student Affairs Dr. Azhar Hussain, senior teachers and officers were also present on the occasion. IUB Debating Society, IUB Literary Society, IUB Fine Art Society and IUB Performing Art Society under the umbrella of the Directorate of Students Affairs, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur celebrated Anti-corruption week and organized series of awareness competitions includes, Urdu and English essay writing competitions, poetry competition, Urdu and English speech competitions, drama/theater competition, painting and poster competitions. In English essay writing competition Umm-e- Amara from department of English, in Urdu essay writing competition Hafiza Yamna from department of Law, in poetry competition Abdullah Ibrahim from department of Management Sciences, in painting competition Muqaddas Shaheen and in poster competition Ubaid-ur-Rehman from College of Art and Design, in English debate competition Haseeb Afaaq from department of Bio-Medical Engineering and Technology and in Urdu debate Competition Ali Javed from department of English Linguistics won first positions. Dr. Noveen Javed, Advisor IUB Character Building Society conducted the event and delivered vote of thanks to the guests, faculty, officers and students.

 اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں ہائر ا یجوکیشن کمیشن، ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ حکومت پنجاب اور نیشنل اکاؤنٹیبلیٹی بیورو(نیب)کے اشتراک سے انسدادِ بدعنوانی کی  ہفت روزہ تقریبات منائی گئیں۔ اس سلسلے میں عالمی یوم انسداد بدعنوانی کی مناسبت سے خصوصی لیکچر کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ جس میں معروف کالمسٹ و سینئر صحافی نعیم مسعود نے خصوصی لیکچر دیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ بدعنوانی کے خاتمے کے کے معاشرے کے ہر فرد کو انفرادی طور پر کوشش کرنا ہو گی۔ انہوں نے طلباء وطالبات کو مخاطب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان کے روشن مستقبل میں انہوں نے مختلف شعبوں میں فرائض سرانجام دینے ہیں۔ معاشرے میں بدعنوانی کے خلاف نہ صرف پیغام پھیلانا ہے بلکہ آگے چل کر خود بھی اس پر عمل کرنا ہے۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز رضوان مجید، ایڈینشنل ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین، سینئر اساتذہ کرام اوردیگر سینئر افسران بھی موجود تھے۔ڈائریکٹرسٹوڈنٹس رضوان مجید نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سٹوڈنٹس سوسائٹیز کے زیر اہتمام  منعقد ہونے والے اُردو اور انگریزی مضمون نویسی، مشاعرہ،تقریری مقابلے، ڈرامہ تھیٹر، پینٹنگ اور پوسٹر کے مقابلوں کی تفصیل بیان کی۔ انگریزی مضمون نویسی کے مقابلوں میں ام عمارہ اور اُردو مضمون نویسی کے مقابلوں میں حافظہ یمنا نے پہلی پوزیشنز حاصل کیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں منعقدہ شاعری کے مقابلوں میں عبداللہ ابراہیم نے پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی۔ پینٹنگ کے مقابلوں میں مقدس شاہین اورپوسٹر کے مقابلوں میں عبید الرحمن نے پہلی  پوزیشنز حاصل کیں۔ انگلش تقریری مقابلے میں حسیب آفاق اور اردو تقریری مقابلوں میں علی جاوید نے اول پوزیشنز حاصل کیں۔تمام مقابلہ جات اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی لٹریری، ڈیبیٹنگ، کریکٹر بلڈنگ، پرفارمنگ آرٹس، اور فائن آرٹ سوسائٹیز کے زیر اہتمام منعقد کیے گئے۔
