On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a function was organized by the Department of Special Education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur at the Main Auditorium, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The children of the schools run by the Special Education Department Bahawalpur gave beautiful performances at the event. On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that today is the day of determination to do our best for the education and training of children with various disabilities in the country. Special children are a very important part of our society. People with disabilities are performing much better than normal people in many places. He said that the Department of Special Education of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been activated a year and a half ago with the aim of producing teachers from here who can equip students with disabilities at modern level in schools and colleges. He said that this function has been organized in collaboration with the Department of Special Education and School Education Bahawalpur of the Punjab Government. For people with disabilities, the collaboration of various organizations is very welcome. It is good that so many different stakeholders are gathered here today. He further said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur would improve the special facilities provided to the students with disabilities as well as increase them further. He said these people with disabilities are a source of motivation for us. He commended all the students who performed and participated in the event and encouraged them to move forward with determination. Speaking on the occasion, Dean Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Akhtar Ali said that special care is taken for the education of special people all over the world. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is taking several steps in this regard. We want to encourage these disabled children. They have to be given the respect and status in society that they give to normal people. They are also normal human beings like us, they have just been deprived of a single blessing. Chairperson Department of Special Education Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is focusing on special education. Today, children from different educational institutions are participating in the event with us. Special children have demonstrated their abilities on stage. Looking at the performances of these children, no one can say that they are facing any disability. The event was attended by CEO Education Bahawalpur Zahoor Ahmed Chohan, District Officer Special Education, teachers of special education institutions and a large number of students with disabilities. At the end of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob distributed shields among the organizers of the event.

معذور افراد کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر شعبہ سپیشل ایجوکیشن اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام مرکزی آڈیٹوریم بغدادالجدید کیمپس میں تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب میں سپیشل ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ بہاولپور کے زیر انتظام چلنے والے سکولوں کے بچوں نے خوبصورت پرفارمنسز پیش کیں۔ تقریب سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کا کہنا تھا کہ آج کا دن اس بات کے عزم کا دن ہے کہ ہم ملک میں مختلف معذرو ی کے شکار بچوں کی تعلیم و تربیت کے لیے بہتر سے بہترین کاوشیں کریں گے۔ خصوصی بچے ہمارے معاشرے کا انتہائی اہم حصہ ہیں۔ معذور افراد بہت ساری جگہوں پر نارمل لوگوں کے مقابلے میں بہت اچھی پرفارمنس دے رہے ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا شعبہ سپیشل ایجوکیشن ڈیڑھ سال قبل فعال کیا گیا ہے جس کا مقصد یہاں سے ایسے اساتذہ تیار کرنا ہے جو سکول اور کالجز کی سطح پر معذوری کا شکار طلباء کو جدید خطوط پر تعلیم سے آراستہ کرسکیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ تقریب پنجاب حکومت کے شعبہ سپیشل ایجوکیشن اور سکول ایجوکیشن بہاولپور کے ساتھ مل کر منعقد کی گئی ہے۔ معذور افراد کے لیے مختلف اداروں کا ملکرچلنا انتہائی خوش آئند ہے۔ یہ اچھا ہے کہ آج مختلف سٹیک ہولڈرز یہاں جمع ہیں۔ ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور معذور طلباء کو فراہم کی جانے والی خصوصی سہولیات کو بہتر کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ان میں مزید اضافہ کرے گی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ معذور افراد ہمارے لیے موٹیویشن کا ذریعہ ہیں۔ انہوں نے تقریب میں پرفارم اور شرکت کرنے والے تمام طلباء کو شاباش دی اور عزم کے ساتھ آگے بڑھنے کا حوصلہ دیا۔ تقریب میں گفتگو کرتے ہوئے ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایجوکیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اختر علی کا کہنا تھا کہ دنیا بھر میں خصوصی افراد کی تعلیم کا خاص خیال رکھا جاتا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اس حوالے سے کئی ہم اقدامات کر رہی ہے۔ ہم نے ان معذور بچوں کا حوصلہ بننا ہے۔ معاشرے میں انہیں وہ عزت و مقام دینا ہے جو نارمل لوگوں کو دیتے ہیں۔ یہ بھی ہماری طرح نارمل انسان ہیں بس کسی ایک نعمت سے محروم رہ گئے ہیں۔ چیئرپرسن ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف سپیشل ایجوکیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر کا کہنا تھا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورسپیشل ایجوکیشن پر فوکس کر رہی ہے۔ آج تقریب میں ہمارے ساتھ مختلف تعلیمی اداروں کے بچے شریک ہیں۔ سٹیج پر خصوصی بچوں نے اپنی صلاحتیوں کو منوایا ہے۔ ان بچوں کی پرفارمنس دیکھ کر کوئی بھی یہ نہیں کہہ سکتا کہ انہیں کسی معذروی کا سامنا ہے۔ تقریب میں سی ای او ایجوکیشن بہاولپور ظہور احمد چوہان، ڈسٹرکٹ افیسر سپیشل ایجوکیشن، سپیشل ایجوکیشن اداروں کے اساتذہ اور معذور طلباء نے بڑی تعداد میں شرکت کی۔ تقریب کے آخر میں وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے ایونٹ کے آرگنائززمیں شیلڈ زتقیسم کیں۔
