In his message on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that youth are the guarantor of a bright future. More and more resources should be devoted to the personality development and capacity building of the youth. Creating skills and encouraging entrepreneurship among the youth, providing technical and vocational education and training for them should be among the top priorities. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is providing education as well as practical training to the youth for this purpose. The e-Rozgar center at the university has so far provided IT and e-commerce training to thousands of youth. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is committed to be among the top ranked universities in the world and the young graduates of this university should have higher education as well as excellent technical skills. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, said that Youth Skills Day 2022 has become very important in the context of social and economic recovery after the end of the Covid-19 epidemic. This day is very important for the young students to equip themselves with various skills to be active citizens. On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, a rally of teachers and students was also held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in which the importance of World Youth Skills was highlighted. Dr. Azhar Hussain, Director Alumni Affairs, Shehzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Press Media and Publications, Dr. Jam Sajjad Assistant Professor, Dr. Shahnira Mahmood Chief Public Relations Officer, Miss Ayesha, Naseer Ahmed Nasir Alumni and young staff members were present on the occasion.

ورلڈیوتھ سکلز ڈے کے موقع پر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاو ل پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اپنے پیغام میں کہا ہے کہ نوجوان روشن مستقبل کی ضمانت ہیں۔ نوجوانوں کی شخصیت سازی اور استعداد کار میں اضافے کے لیے زیادہ سے زیادہ وسائل کو وقف کرنا چاہیے۔ نوجوانوں میں مختلف علوم و فنون کی مہارت پیدا کرنے اور انٹرپرینیورشپ کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا، ان کے لیے ٹیکنیکل اور ووکیشنل ایجوکیشن اور ٹریننگ کے اقدامات کرنا اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہونا چاہیے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اس مقصد کے لیے نوجوانوں کو تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ عملی تربیت بھی فراہم کر رہی ہے۔ یونیورسٹی میں قائم ای روزگار مرکز اب تک ہزاروں نوجوانوں کو آئی ٹی اور ای کامرس کی تربیت فراہم کر چکا ہے جس سے کروڑوں روپے کا زرمبادلہ بھی حاصل ہو اہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کا عزم ہے کہ دنیا کی ٹاپ رینکنگ جامعات میں شامل ہو اور اس یونیورسٹی سے فارغ التحصیل نوجوان اعلیٰ تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ بہترین فنی اور تکنیکی مہارت کے حامل ہوں۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے کہا کہ یوتھ سکلز ڈے 2022 کرونا وباء کے خاتمے کے بعد سماجی اور معاشی بحالی کے تناظر میں بہت اہمیت اختیار کر گیا ہے۔ نوجوانوں طلباء و طالبات کے لیے یہ دن بہت اہمیت کا حامل ہے کہ وہ اپنے آپ کو مختلف علوم و فنون سے لیس کریں اور فعال شہر ی ثابت ہوں۔ ورلڈ یوتھ سکلز ڈے کے موقع پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات کی ایک ریلی بھی نکالی گئی جس میں ورلڈ یوتھ سکلز کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین، ڈائریکٹر ایلومینائی افیئرز،شہزاد احمد خالد، ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکیشنز، ڈاکٹر جام سجاد اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر،ڈاکٹر شہنیرہ محمود چیف پبلک ریلیشنز آفیسر، مس عائشہ، نصیر احمد ناصرایلومینائی اورنوجوان سٹاف ممبران شریک تھے۔
