IUB organized 1st two-day international conference titled "Promotion and Solution of Arabic Language"

The 1st two-day international conference titled "Promotion and Solution of Arabic Language" organized by the Department of Arabic, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has started. More than 100 Arabic language experts, researchers and teachers from different universities of Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan are participating in the conference. Inaugurating the conference, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar said that the universality and value of Arabic language is an undeniable fact. And the position that Arabic language has in the world of languages is not available to anyone else. Apart from Quran and Hadith and religious studies, it is the official language of many countries and is a means of access to the best literature of the world. The Arabic language is the third largest language of communication in the world and is steeped in tradition and innovation. The Vice-Chancellor said that the Department of Arabic the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been rendering services for the promotion and development of the Arabic language since the time of the historic Jamia Abbasia. In this regard, the organization of the first international conference is due to the hard work of the Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies and the chairman of the department, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman and the organizers. The participation of a large number of Arabic language experts from different countries of the world and Pakistani universities is a great honor for the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, for which we are grateful. In his address on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rehman said that high level teaching and research in Arabic language is going on in this department at BS, MPhil and PhD level. The organization of the first international conference by the department and the participation of expert people from Arab brother countries, Pakistani universities and institutions is a source of pride and credit for Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In the opening session, Dr. Ahmad Jaffari, Vice-President of Al-Jam Al-Jajri Department of Arabia, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, former Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq, former Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur spoke. In the first session, Jam Aftab Hussain Additional Commissioner, Bahawalpur, Syed Liaqat Ali Gillani Director Revenue Cholistan Development Authority Bahawalpur and Chief Guest Malik Allah Bakhsh Kulyar Member Islamic Ideological Council of Pakistan spoke. In the second session, Dr. Ahmad Jafari, Naib-Rais al-Jam Al-Jajari, Al-Arabia Al-Jajari Department, Hafiz Abdul Rahim, Department of Arabic, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Abdul Qadeer, Department of Arabic University of Punjab Lahore spoke. In the third session, Hamid Ashraf Hamdani Rais, Department of Arabic, Punjab University Lahore, Azra Parveen, Department of Arabic, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan spoke. In the fourth session, Muhammad Diyab Ghazawi Raees, Head of the Arabic Department, University of Fayum Egypt, Abubakr, Department of Arabic, Punjab University Lahore, Tahira Siddiqa Department of Arabic the Islamia University of Bahawalpur spoke.

شعبہ عربی فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام پہلی دو روزہ بین الاقوامی کانفرنس بعنوان عربی زبان کی ترویج اور حل کا آغاز ہوگیا۔ کانفرنس میں الجیریا، مصر، نائجیریا اور پاکستان کی مختلف جامعات سے آئے ہوئے 100 سے زائد عربی زبان کے ماہرین، محققین اور اساتذہ شریک ہیں۔ کانفرنس کا افتتاح کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کہا کہ عربی زبان کی آفاقیت اور قدرو منزلت ایک نا قابل تردید حقیقت ہے۔ اور زبانوں کی دنیا میں جو مقام عربی زبان کو حاصل ہے وہ کسی اور کو حاصل نہیں۔ قرآن و حدیث اور دینی علوم کے علاوہ بہت سے ممالک کی سرکاری زبان ہے اور دنیا کے بہترین ادب تک رسائی کا ذریعے ہے۔ عربی زبان دنیا میں رابطے کی تیسری بڑی زبان ہے اور قدامت اور جدت سے مزین ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ شعبہ عربی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور تاریخی جامعہ عباسیہ کے دور سے عربی زبان کی ترویج اور ترقی کے لیے خدمات سر انجام دے رہا ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں پہلی بین الاقوامی کانفرنس کا انعقاد ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز اور شعبہ چیئرمین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن اور منتظمین کی محنت کا مرہون منت ہے۔ دنیا کے مختلف ممالک اور پاکستانی جامعات سے کثیر تعداد میں عربی زبان کے ماہرین کی شرکت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے لیے بہت بڑا اعزاز ہے جس کے لیے ہم شکرگزار ہیں۔ اس موقع پر اپنے خطاب میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے کہا کہ شعبہ ہذا میں بی ایس، ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی سطح پر عربی زبان میں اعلیٰ سطح کی تدریس و تحقیق کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ شعبہ کی جانب سے پہلی بین الاقوامی کانفرنس کا انعقاد اور برادر عرب ممالک، پاکستانی جامعات اور اداروں سے نابغہ روزگار شخصیات کی شرکت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے لیے فخر اور انتساب کا باعث ہے۔ افتتاحی سیشن میں ڈاکٹر احمد جعفری نائب رئیس الجمع الجزائری شعبہ العربیہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اکرم چوہدری سابق وائس چانسلر یونیورسٹی آف سرگودھا، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق سابق وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے خطاب کیا۔ پہلے سیشن میں جام آفتا ب حسین ایڈیشنل کمشنر بہاول پور، سید لیاقت علی گیلانی ڈائریکٹر ریونیو چولستان ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی بہاول پور اور مہمان خصوصی ملک اللہ بخش کلیار ممبر اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل پاکستان نے خطاب کیا۔ دوسرے سیشن میں ڈاکٹر احمد جعفری نائب رئیس الجمع الجزائری شعبہ العربیہ الجزائری، حافظ عبدالرحیم شعبہ عربی بہاء الدین زکر یا یونیورسٹی ملتان، عبدالقدیر شعبہ عربی پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور نے خطاب کیا۔ تیسرے سیشن میں حامد اشرف حمدانی رئیس قسم شعبہ عربی پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور، عذرا پروین شعبہ عربی بہاء الدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان نے خطاب کیا۔ چوتھے سیشن میں محمد دیاب غزاوی رئیس قسم شعبہ عربی جامعہ فیوم مصر، ابوبکر شعبہ عربی پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور، طاہرہ صدیقہ شعبہ عربی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے خطاب کیا۔
