IUB organized a one-day seminar on the topic of CMS Experimental Virtual Visit to CERN, Geneva

Department of Particle Physics at Institute of Physics the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day seminar in Main Auditorium on the topic of CMS Experimental Virtual Visit to CERN, Geneva. The main objective of the event was to make the students aware of modern technology and scientific developments aimed at uncovering the mysteries of the universe. Additionally, the seminar highlighted the importance of physics in various industries. The day and night efforts of Director Institute of Physics Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar were behind the successful organization of this seminar. All credit goes to Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Baloch, Head of Particle Physics Group, whose dedication and hard work made this seminar possible. The seminar event was held in a hybrid mode, with participants joining both physically and virtually – during the seminar, the CMS teams made a short virtual visit. Dr. Shema Abu Zaid, Distinguished Assistant Professor and CERN Fellow He gave a thought-provoking talk on particle physics, in which special attention was paid to the standard model and top quark physics. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Dr. Faisal Iqbal and other distinguished faculty members attended the closing ceremony. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar in his concluding remarks emphasized the imperative need of modern research and technology to advance the field of science. He praised Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Baloch and urged others to emulate this laudable initiative for the betterment of research.

انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور میں پارٹیکل فزکس کے شعبہ نے CERN، جنیوا میں CMS تجرباتی ورچوئل وزٹ کے موضوع پر مین آڈیٹوریم میں ایک روزہ سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا۔ اس تقریب کا بنیادی مقصد طلبہ کو جدید ٹیکنالوجی اور سائنسی پیشرفت سے آگاہ کرنا تھا جس کا مقصد کائنات کے اسرار سے پردہ اٹھانا تھا۔ مزید برآں، اس سیمینار نے مختلف صنعتوں میں فزکس کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔ اس سیمینار کے کامیاب انعقاد کے پیچھے ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار کی شبانہ روز کاوشیں تھیں۔ تمام کریڈٹ پارٹیکل فزکس گروپ کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر محمد شعیب بلوچ کو جاتا ہے جن کی لگن اور محنت سے یہ سیمینار احسن طریقے سے ہو پایا۔ سیمینار کی یہ تقریب ہائبرڈ موڈ میں منعقد کی گئی، جس میں شرکاء نے فزیکل اور ورچوئلی دونوں طرح سے جوائن کیا۔ سیمینار کے دوران، CMS ٹیموں نے ایک مختصر ورچوئل وزٹ کیا۔ ڈاکٹر شیما ابوزید ، ایک معزز اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر اور CERN فیلو نے پارٹیکل فزکس پر ایک فکر انگیز گفتگو کی، جس میں معیاری ماڈل اور ٹاپ کوارک فزکس پر خصوصی توجہ دی گئی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز، ڈاکٹر فیصل اقبال اور دیگر معزز فیکلٹی ممبران کی موجودگی میں اختتامی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار نے اپنے اختتامی کلمات میں سائنس کے شعبے کو آگے بڑھانے کے لیے جدید تحقیق اور ٹیکنالوجی کی ناگزیر ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ انہوں نے ڈاکٹر محمد شعیب بلوچ کو سراہتے ہوئے دوسروں پر زور دیا کہ وہ تحقیق کی بہتری کے لیے اس قابل تحسین اقدام کی تقلید کریں۔
