A one-day seminar for capacity building of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur faculty and students regarding postgraduate scholarship and postdoctoral fellowship titled “Nailing a Postgraduate Scholarship abroad: Opportunities and Perspectives” was organized by Directorate of ORIC and Directorate of Students Affairs the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The event engaged Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Sohail of Nanjing Normal University, China as a speaker. Deputy Director Students Affairs Khawaja Fareed Campus Mr. Qamar-uz-Zaman inaugurated the session by welcoming the speaker and participants. He said that under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, many activities are being done in the university to expand international cooperation to the faculty and students. Manager Research Management ORIC Dr. Atif Usman gave a briefing about the steps taken by ORIC. He also informed that ORIC the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is actively engaging faculty members to promote research culture. Dr. Muhammad Sohail introduced the participants to the technical aspects of scientific writing and the scenario of research and commercialization abroad. He highlighted the key aspects that a prospective supervisor looks for in a letter of intent, and addressed common mistakes potential applicants make. He encouraged the participants to apply directly to make their application successful.

بہاول پور (پ ر) ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اورک اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام پوسٹ گریجویٹ اسکالرشپ اور پوسٹ ڈاکٹریٹ فیلوشپ کے حوالے فیکلٹی اور طلباء کی استعداد کار بڑھانے کے لیے ایک روزہ سیمینار بعنوان ''بیرون ملک پوسٹ گریجویٹ اسکالرشپ، مواقع اور تناظر'' کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب میں نانجنگ نارمل یونیورسٹی، چین کے ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سہیل نے بطور مقرر شرکت کی۔ ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز خواجہ فرید کیمپس قمرالزمان نے مقررین اور شرکاء کو خوش آمدید کہتے ہوئے سیشن کا آغاز کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی ہدایت پر جامعہ میں فیکلٹی اور طلباء کو بین الاقوامی تعاون کو وسعت دینے کے لیے بہت سی سرگرمیاں کی جا رہی ہیں۔ منیجر ریسرچ مینجمنٹ اورک ڈاکٹر عاطف عثمان نے اورک کی جانب سے کی جانے والے اقدامات کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ اورک اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں ریسرچ کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے لیے فیکلٹی ممبران کو فعال طور پر شامل کر رہا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر محمد سہیل نے شرکاء کو سائنسی تحریر کے تکنیکی پہلوؤں اور بیرون ملک تحقیق اور کمرشلائزیشن کے منظر نامے سے متعارف کرایا۔ انہوں نے ان اہم پہلوؤں پر روشنی ڈالی جو ایک متوقع نگران ارادے کے خط میں تلاش کرتا ہے، اور ممکنہ درخواست دہندگان کی جانب سے کی جانے والی عام غلطیاں سے متعلق آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے شرکاء کی حوصلہ افزائی کی کہ وہ اپنی درخواست کو کامیاب بنانے کے لیے براہ راست درخواست دیں۔
