IUB organized a seminar on the occasion of World Heart Day 2022

Seminars were organized by Department of Physiology Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Department of Medical Laboratory Technology Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with World Heart Day. Experts from Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College participated in the awareness seminar and health camp organized by the Department of Physiology. Chairman of the department, Dr. Umar Farooq, said that on the occasion of World Heart Day, the United Nations has drawn the attention of the world to the increasing rate of heart diseases among the people of low-income countries, and the World Heart Federation has taken such measures under the United Nations. It has been announced that worldwide deaths due to heart disorders can be reduced by 25%. On this occasion Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil, Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Prof. Dr. Sohail Atta Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Dr. Nauman Ali Cardiologist and faculty members Dr. Musadiq Idris, Dr. Aisha Mahmood, Dr. Haroon Rasheed, Dr. Zia Ur Rehman are addressing. An awareness walk was organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar. On this occasion, experts emphasized that a cardiac profile is essential for everyone to be aware of their heart health and to prevent damage in this regard.

ورلڈ ہارٹ ڈے کے سلسلے میں شعبہ فزیالوجی فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینمل سائنسز اور شعبہ میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی فیکلٹی آف لائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام سیمینار منعقد ہوئے۔ شعبہ فزیالوجی کے زیر اہتمام آگاہی سیمینار اور ہیلتھ کیمپ میں بہاول وکٹوریہ ہسپتال اور قائداعظم میڈیکل کالج کے ماہرین شریک ہوئے۔ چیئرمین شعبہ ڈاکٹر عمرفاروق نے کہا کہ ورلڈ ہارٹ ڈے کے موقع پر اقوام متحدہ نے دنیا بھر کی توجہ کم آمدنی والے ممالک کی عوام میں دل کے عارضوں کی بڑھتی ہوئی شرح پر دلائی ہے اور ورلڈ ہارٹ فیڈریشن نے اقوام متحدہ کے تحت ایسے اقدامات کا اعلان کیا ہے کہ دل کے عارضوں کے باعث دنیا بھر میں ہونے والی اموات کو 25 فیصد تک کم کیا جا سکے۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر و رجسٹرار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل، ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگویجز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید حسان چانڈیو، ڈین فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینمل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹرمحمد خالد منصور، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سہیل عطا قائداعظم میڈیکل کالج، ڈاکٹر نعمان علی کارڈیالوجسٹ اور فیکلٹی ممبران ڈاکٹر مصدق ادریس، ڈاکٹر عائشہ محمود، ڈاکٹر ہارون رشید، ڈاکٹر ضیا ء الرحمن نے خطاب کیا۔ شعبہ میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی کے زیر اہتمام پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اختر چیئرمین شعبہ کی سربراہی میں آگاہی واک کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر ماہرین نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ہر شخص کے لیے کارڈیک پروفائل ضروری ہے تاکہ وہ اپنے دل کی صحت سے متعلق آگاہ رہے اور اس سلسلے میں پیش آنے والے نقصان کو روکا جا سکے۔
