IUB Organized a Tour of Historical Places of Bahawalpur

Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a tour of historical places of Bahawalpur. On the directions of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is also promoting the government's tourism policy and activities in the country. In this regard the teaching department of Tourism and Hospitality Management and IUB-Directorate of sustainable Tourism have been setup in the University. Dr. Shoaib Imtiaz and Ms. Kulsoom Akhtar were in charge of this tour. The delegation on the occasion of their visit to Central Library Bahawalpur said that the historical buildings of Bahawalpur are very important in terms of tourism and they will be introduced all over the world. Following the lockdown of Covid-19 and the success of the vaccine, tourism activities in the country are now reviving. There is a need to give the tourism sector the status of a major industry in Pakistan, which will also create thousands of jobs. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is conducting tourism activities in association with Bahawalpur Tourism Development Corporation. For this purpose, students and faculty participated in the Bahawalpur Desert Jeep Rally and Hourable Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar attended the Bahawalpur Trade Fair and appreciated the efforts of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to promote tourism.

شعبہ ٹورازم اینڈ ہاسپٹیلٹی مینجمنٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام طلبہ و طالبات کا بہاولپور کے تاریخی مقامات کا دورہ منعقد کرایا گیا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی ہدایت پر حکومت کی ٹورازم پالیسی اور وطن عزیز میں سیاحت کی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینے کے لیے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور بھی کوشاں ہے اور جامعہ میں ٹورازم کا تدریسی شعبہ اور ایک ڈائریکٹوریٹ قائم کیا گیا ہے۔ اس دورے کے انچارج ڈاکٹر شعیب امتیاز ا ور کلثوم اختر تھیں۔ وفد نے سنٹرل لائبریری بہاولپور کے دورے کے موقع پر کہا بہاولپور کی تاریخی عمارات سیاحت کے لحاظ سے بہت اہم ہیں اور انہیں پوری دنیا میں متعارف کروایا جائے گا۔ کووڈ 19 کے لاک ڈؤ ن کے بعد اور ویکسین کی د ستیابی کے باعث اب ملک میں سیاحتی سرگرمیاں بحال ہو رہی ہیں۔ ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ سیاحت کے شعبے کو پاکستان میں بڑی صنعت کا درجہ دیا جائے جس سے روز گار کے بھی ہزاروں مواقع پیدا ہوں گے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ٹورازم ڈویلپمنٹ کارپوریشن کے ساتھ مل کر سیاحتی سرگرمیاں سرانجام دے رہی ہے۔ اس مقصد کے لیے بہاولپور جیپ ریلی میں طلبہ اور فیکلٹی ممبران نے عملی شرکت کی اور بہاولپور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے اشتراک سے منعقد ہونے والے بہاولپور ٹریڈ فیئر میں وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار خود تشریف لائے، اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات سے ملاقات کی اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سیاحت کے فروغ کے لیے کوششوں کو سراہا۔
