Bahawalpur: Governor Punjab & Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman has said that the educated young generation is our valuable asset. Education, training and character building of the young generation are the guarantee of a bright future. He expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of giving laptops to meritorious students at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, former parliamentarians Begum Parveen Masood Bhatti, Fauzia Ayub Qureshi, Hasina Naz, Khalid Mehmood Jajja, Afzal Gill, Vice Chancellor Cholistan University of Animal Sciences Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Vice Chancellor Sadiq college Women University Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Saiqa Imtiaz, Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mushahid Anwar, Muslim League leader Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq, Ch. Saad Masood, Mian Shahid Iqbal, teachers and students were present. Governor Punjab & Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman said that during the previous tenure of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, more than 5 lac laptops were given to intelligent students on merit. This scheme has been relaunched and this month more than 3000 students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be given laptops on merit. He said that superiority of merit is the distinction of Pakistan Muslim League (N). He said that previous government used the youth generation to promote hatred. We will not allow the spread of hatred among the people of Pakistan through social media. He said that laptops have been provided to the youth on merit, their political affiliation was with any party. Governor Punjab said that according to the report of Transparency International, corruption has increased during the tenure of previous government. He said that the issue of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been exaggerated on social media. Associating dirty videos on social media with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur without research is hurtful. He said that a high-level investigation is being conducted on all aspects of the Islamia University's financial affairs, drugs and harassment and strict action will be taken against any kind of irregularity. He said that the teachers and students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are respectable and will not let their reputation be affected. He said that all resources are being used for women's education and empowerment. He said that there is zero tolerance policy on drug use in educational institutions and there will be no leniency with those involved in this kind of nefarious business. Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar and Deputy Director Higher Education Department Qasim Ali Shah also addressed the ceremony.

بہاول پور: گورنر پنجاب محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا ہے کہ تعلیم یافتہ نوجوان نسل ہمارا قیمتی اثاثہ ہیں۔ نوجوان نسل کی تعلیم و تربیت اور کردار سازی روشن مستقبل کی ضامن ہے۔ انہوں نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں ہونہار طلبا و طالبات کو لیپ ٹاپ دینے کی تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، سابق پارلیمنٹیرنز بیگم پروین مسعود بھٹی، فوزیہ ایوب قریشی، حسینہ ناز، خالد محمود ججہ، افضل گل، وائس چانسلر چولستان یونیورسٹی آف اینمل سائنسز بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سجاد حسین، وائس چانسلر صادق ویمن یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر صاعقہ امتیاز، مسلم لیگی رہنما ڈاکٹر رانا محمد طارق، سعد مسعود، میاں شاہد اقبال، اساتذہ و طلبہ و طالبات موجود تھے۔ گورنر پنجاب محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم محمد نواز شریف کے گزشتہ دورِ حکومت میں میرٹ پر ذہین طلبا و طالبات کو 5 لاکھ سے زائد لیپ ٹاپ دئیے گئے۔ اس سکیم کا دوبارہ اجراء کر دیا گیا ہے اور اس ماہ اسلامیہ یونیورسی بہاول پور کے3 ہزار سے زائد طلبا و طالبات کو میرٹ پر لیپ ٹاپ دئیے جائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ میرٹ کی بالا دستی پاکستان مسلم لیگ (ن) کا طرہء امتیاز ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ پی ٹی آئی نے نوجوان نسل کو نفرت کے فروغ کے لیے استعمال کیا۔ پاکستان کے عوام میں سوشل میڈیا کے ذریعے نفرت کے پرچار کی اجازت نہیں دیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نوجوانوں کو میرٹ پر لیپ ٹاپ فراہم کیے گئے ہیں ان کی سیاسی وابستگی کسی بھی جماعت سے تھی۔ گورنر پنجاب نے کہا کہ ٹرانسپیرنسی انٹرنیشنل کی رپورٹ کے مطابق پی ٹی آئی کے دورِ حکومت میں کرپشن میں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور بہاول پور کے معاملہ کو سوشل میڈیا پر بڑھا چڑھا کر پیش کیا گیا ہے۔ سوشل میڈیا پر غلیظ ویڈیوز کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے ساتھ بغیر تحقیق کے منسلک کرنا تکلیف دہ ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی کے مالی معاملات، منشیات و ہراسگی کے تمام پہلوؤں پر اعلیٰ سطحی تحقیقات ہورہی ہیں اور کسی بھی قسم کے بے قاعدگی پر سخت کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے اساتذہ کرام اور طلبا و طالبات قابل احترام ہیں، ان کی ساکھ متاثر نہیں ہونے دیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ خواتین کی تعلیم اور خود مختاری کے لیے تمام تر وسائل بروئے کار لائے جا رہے ہیں۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ تعلیمی اداروں میں منشیات کے استعمال پر زیر و ٹالرنس پالیسی ہے اور اس قسم کے مذموم کاروبار میں ملوث افراد کے ساتھ کوئی نرمی نہیں برتی جائے گی۔ تقریب سے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر اور ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ قاسم علی شاہ نے بھی خطاب کیا۔
