Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob called on Federal Minister for Industries and Production Makhdoom Syed Murtaza Mahmood. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor briefed the Federal Minister about the teaching and research achievements of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He said that in terms of number of students and teachers, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is one of the largest universities in the country. Students from Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar districts as well as South Punjab and Sindh Balochistan are also benefiting from the university. He also apprised the Federal Minister about the expansion of Rahim Yar Khan Campus, establishment of new departments and other facilities. The campus is providing graduate and postgraduate level educational facilities to thousands of students in Rahim Yar Khan District. The Federal Minister appreciated the extraordinary achievements of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in various fields. On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor also described the Federal Minister of the steps taken to enhance the academic and industrial ties with the Chamber of Commerce of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and other chambers of commerce of the country. This is being done so that industrial activities can benefit from the research activities taking place in the university and internship and placement opportunities can be provided to the students.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے وفاقی وزیر صنعت و پیداوار مخدوم سید مرتضیٰ محمود سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے وفاقی وزیر کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی تدریسی اور تحقیقی کامیابیوں سے آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ طلباء اور اساتذہ کی تعداد کے اعتبار سے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ملک کی بڑی جامعات میں شمار ہو تی ہے۔ بہاول پور، رحیم یار خان اور بہاولنگر کے اضلاع کے ساتھ ساتھ جنوبی پنجاب اور سندھ بلوچستان کے طلباء بھی یونیورسٹی سے مستفید ہو رہے ہیں۔ وفاقی وزیر کو رحیم یار خان کیمپس کی توسیع، نئے شعبہ جات کے قیام اور دیگر سہولیات سے بھی آگاہ کیا۔ یہ کیمپس ضلع رحیم یار خان کے ہزاروں طلباء وطالبات کو گریجویٹ اور پوسٹ گریجویٹ سطح کی تعلیمی سہولیات فراہم کر رہا ہے۔ وفاقی وزیر نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی مختلف شعبوں میں غیر معمولی کا میابیوں کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے وفاقی وزیر کو اکیڈمیہ، انڈسٹریل روابط کو بڑھانے کے لیے کیے گئے اقدامات سے بھی آگاہ کیا کہ بہاولپور، رحیم یار خان کے چمبر آف کامرس کے ساتھ ملک کے دیگر ایوان ہائے صنعت و تجارت سے بھی روابط کو فروغ دیا جارہا ہے تاکہ یونیورسٹی میں ہونے والی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں سے صنعتی ادارے مستفید ہوں اور طلباء وطالبات کو انٹرن شپ اور پلیسمنٹ کے مواقع فراہم ہو سکیں۔
