Member National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development Ms. Kanwal Shauzab has said that state-of-the-art programs in line with modern requirements will be introduced at Ahmadpur Campus of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. She said these programs, the youth of our region will not only be self-sufficient and create employment opportunities for themselves, but will also play an active role in changing the social and economic conditions of the region. Ms. Kanwal Shauzab expressed these views while presiding over the online meeting of the Setting Committee of Ahmadpur East Campus of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Prof. Muhammad Saleem Former Director Colleges Bahawalpur, Hafiz Muzaffar Karim Mughal, Advocate High Court Ahmedpur East, Dr. Muhammad Munir Ahmed, Professor, Department of Engineering and Director Affiliation, Afzal Ahmed, Director Planning and Development. Dr. Makshof Ahmed, Director Academics, Rizwan Majeed, Director Information Technology, Abdul Jameel Kakar, Secretary to Parliamentary Secretary Planning Development, Bilal Irshad, Additional Registrar and Dr. Farrukh Jalil, Rahim Yar Khan Campus Islamia University of Bahawalpur were present. The Federal Parliamentary Secretary said that in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the main objective of setting up the Ahmadpur East Campus is to bring world class higher education to remote areas of the country and provide the youth with the latest in their area. Teaching and research facilities equipped with technology will be provided. She said that the Prime Minister has a special interest in the development of South Punjab and is regularly aware of the educational development and public health and other social projects in the region. That is why a development scheme of Rs. 4 billion was approved for Islamia University Bahawalpur. This includes the establishment of a campus with state-of-the-art departments. She said that the tireless efforts of the Vice Chancellor for the development of the University were commendable and appreciated at the highest level of government. He said that there is a lot of enthusiasm for Ahmadpur Campus in the local educational and social circles. This is evident from the sentiments of the members of the Setting Committee and Insha'Allah this project will be completed soon. She said that matters were being settled expeditiously with the Punjab government for acquisition of land for Ahmadpur Campus and the issue of land would be resolved soon after a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar. She said that the number of buses for students studying at Jamia Islamia Bahawalpur in Ahmadpur East would be increased and in this regard she would talk to the federal government for more buses. On this occasion, the skilled base of PC-1 of Ahmadpur East, state-of-the-art educational programs, building infrastructure and other issues were discussed. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob thanked Ms. Kanwal Shauzab and other members for attending the meeting. He said that the entire team of Islamia University Bahawalpur was working hard for the early establishment of Ahmadpur East Campus and matters were being settled with the federal and provincial governments. He thanked the Federal Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Kanwal Shauzab for her special interest and cooperation in other projects for Ahmadpur East and Islamia University Bahawalpur.

رکن قومی اسمبلی و پارلیمانی سیکرٹری برائے پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ محترمہ کنول شوذب نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے احمدپور کیمپس میں جدید تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ جدید ترین پروگرام متعار ف کرائیں جائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ان پروگراموں کی بدولت ہمارے علاقے کے نوجوان نہ صرف خود کفیل ہوں گے اور اپنے لیے روزگار کے مواقع پید ا کریں گے بلکہ علاقے کے سماجی اور معاشی حالات کو بدلنے میں فعال کردار ادا کریں گے۔ محترمہ کنول شوذب نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے احمد پور شرقیہ کیمپس کی سیٹرینگ کمیٹی کے اجلاس کی آن لائن صدارت کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹراطہر محبوب،پروفیسر محمد سلیم سابق ڈائریکٹر کالجز بہاولپور، حافظ مظفر کریم مغل، ایڈوکیٹ ہائی کورٹ احمد پور شرقیہ، ڈاکٹر محمد منیر احمد، پروفیسر، شعبہ انجینئرنگ  و ڈائریکٹر ایفیلیئشن، افضال احمد، ڈائریکٹر پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ، ڈاکٹر مکشوف احمد، ڈائریکٹر اکیڈمکس، رضوان مجید، ڈائریکٹر انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی، عبدالجمیل کاکڑ، سیکرٹری ٹو پارلیمنٹری سیکرٹری پلاننگ ڈویلپمنٹ، بلال ارشاد، ایڈیشنل رجسٹرار اور ڈاکٹر فرخ جلیل، رحیم یار خان کیمپس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور شریک تھے۔ وفاقی پارلیمانی سیکرٹری نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم پاکستان عمران خان کے ویژن کے مطابق احمد پور شرقیہ کیمپس قائم کرنے کا بنیادی مقصد یہ ہے کہ عالمی معیار کی اعلیٰ تعلیم کو ملک کے دور دراز علاقوں تک پہنچایا جائے اور نوجوانوں کو ان کے علاقے میں جدید ترین ٹیکنالوجی سے آراستہ تدریسی اور تحقیقی سہولتوں کو پہنچایا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم جنوبی پنجاب کی ترقی کے لیے خصوصی دلچسپی رکھتے ہیں اور اس علاقے کی تعلیمی ترقی اور صحت عامہ و دیگر سماجی منصوبوں سے متعلق باقاعدہ آگاہ رہتے ہیں۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے لیے4ارب روپے کی ترقیاتی سکیم منظور کی گئی۔ جس میں جدید ترین شعبہ جات کے ساتھ ایک کیمپس کا قیام بھی شامل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وائس چانسلر کی جانب سے یونیورسٹی کی ترقی کے لیے انتھک کوششیں قابل تعریف ہیں اور اعلیٰ حکومتی سطح پر سراہا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ احمد پور کیمپس کے لیے مقامی تعلیمی اور سماجی حلقوں میں بہت جوش خروش پایا جاتا ہے۔ اس کا اظہار سیٹرینگ کمیٹی ممبران کے جذبوں سے عیاں ہے اور انشاء اللہ یہ منصوبہ جلد پایاتکمیل تک پہنچ جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ احمدپور کیمپس کے لیے پنجاب حکومت سے اراضی کے حصول کے لیے معاملات تیزی سے طے پارہے ہیں اور جلد ہی وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار سے ایک ملاقات کے بعد اس اراضی کے معاملات کو حل کر لیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ احمد پور شرقیہ کے جامعہ اسلامیہ بہاولپور میں زیر تعلیم طلباء وطالبات کے لیے بسوں کی تعداد بڑھائی جائے گی اور اس سلسلے میں وہ خود وفاقی حکومت سے مزید بسوں کے اضافے کے لیے بات کریں گی۔ اس موقع پر احمد پور شرقیہ کے پی سی ون کے سکلڈ بیس، جدید ترین تعلیمی پروگروموں، بلڈنگ انفرنسٹکچر اوردیگر معاملات پر گفتگو کی گئی۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اجلاس میں شرکت پر محترمہ کنول شوذب اور دیگر ممبران کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ احمدپور شرقیہ کیمپس کے جلد ازجلد قیام کے لیے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی پوری ٹیم مصروف عمل اور وفاقی اور صوبائی حکومتوں سے معاملات کو طے کیا جا رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے احمد پور شرقیہ اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپو رکے لیے دیگر منصوبوں کے لیے وفاقی پارلیمانی سیکرٹری محترمہ کنول شوذب کی خصوصی دلچسپی اور تعاون پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔
