A Memorandum of Understanding between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and National Center of Physics Islamabad was held at Director General NCP Conference Hall. The Islamia University delegation was headed by Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. Focal person of the event was Prof. Dr Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director Institute of physics (IOP) along with faculty members of Institute of physics Dr Faisal Iqbal and Dr Muhammad Shoaib Baloch. The NCP delegation was headed by DG NCP Dr Mansoor Hameed Inayat along with Dr Ishaq Ahmad CEO Physics, Dr Ashfaq Ahmad Director High Energy Physics Division, Dr Muhammad Aslam Baig (S.I) and GM CAAD Ms Rabia Rasheed. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is one the leading general discipline university of Pakistan with more than 130  department, around 1500 faculty members (more than 650 PhD’s) and around 70 thousand enrollments. The National Centre for Physics has been established to promote research in emerging fields of Physics and allied disciplines as per international norms of productivity and originality. NCP is providing excellent research facilities in the field of experimental high energy physics, nanoscience, ion-beam applications, theoretical physics, atomic and laser physics, vacuum sciences, earthquake studies, and computing resources for the entire physicists’ community of Pakistan. NCP has very unique facilities installed, like first ever X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (XPS) of Pakistan, 5 MV Ion Beam Tandem Accelerator, Probe Station, Wire bonding machine, Pulsed Laser Deposition System, Thermal Evaporation System with Glove Box, Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy  and Laser Ablation Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (LA-TOF-MS). Institute of Physics under the leadership of Dr Saeed Ahmad Buzdar is the emerging institute in the region with 11 disciplines of physics and enriched with young faculty members and high rate of enrollment in all programs, BS, MPhil and PhD. This MoU will provide opportunity to our students, researchers, and faculty members to participate in state of art research facilities. This MoU will help our researchers to present their scientific work in national and international conferences happening at NCP very frequently. This will be very beneficial to IUB in promoting its science culture and recognition.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور نیشنل سینٹر آف فزکس اسلام آباد کے مابین مفاہمتی یادداشت کی تقریب ڈائریکٹر جنرل این سی پی کانفرنس ہال میں منعقد ہوئی۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے وفد کی سربراہی وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کی۔ تقریب کے فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار، ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز، ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس، فیکلٹی ممبران ڈاکٹر فیصل اقبال اور ڈاکٹر محمد شعیب بلوچ موجود تھے۔ این سی پی کے وفد کی سربراہی ڈائریکٹر جنرل نیشنل سینٹر آف فزکس ڈاکٹر منصور حمید عنایت نے کی۔ ان کے ساتھ ڈاکٹر اسحاق احمد سی ای او فزکس، ڈاکٹر اشفاق احمد ڈائریکٹر ہائی انرجی فزکس ڈویژن، ڈاکٹر محمد اسلم بیگ ایس آئی اور رابعہ رشید بھی موجود تھے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں 148 شعبہ جات، 1500 فیکلٹی ممبران (650 سے زائد پی ایچ ڈی) اور 70 ہزار کے قریب طلباء وطالبات  کے ساتھ پاکستان کی ایک صف اول کی جنرل ڈسپلن یونیورسٹی ہے۔ نیشنل سینٹر آف فزکس اسلام آباد تجرباتی ہائی انرجی فزکس، نینو سائنس، آئن بیم ایپلی کیشنز، تھیوریٹیکل فزکس، اٹامک اینڈ لیزر فزکس، ویکیوم سائنسز، زلزلے کے مطالعے اور کمپیوٹنگ کے وسائل کے میدان میں پاکستان کی پوری فزکس کمیونٹی کے لیے بہترین تحقیقی سہولیات فراہم کر رہا ہے۔ نیشنل سینٹر آف فزکس اسلام آباد کے پاس بہت اہم سہولیات نصب ہیں، جیسے پاکستان کا پہلا ایکسرے فوٹو الیکٹران سپیکٹرو میٹر، 5ایم وی آئن بیم ٹینڈم ایکسلریٹر، تحقیقی اسٹیشن، وائر بانڈنگ مشین، نبض شدہ لیزر جمع کرنے کا نظام، دستانے کے خانے کے ساتھ بخارات کا نظام، لیزر انڈ سڈبریک ڈاؤن سپیکٹر و سکوپی اور لیزر ایبلیشن ٹائم آف فلائٹ ماس سپیکٹرو میٹر شامل ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار کی سربراہی میں انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس خطے کا ایک ابھرتا ہواشعبہ ہے جس میں فزکس کے 11 مضامین ہیں اور نوجوان فیکلٹی ممبران سے مالا مال ہیں اور تمام پروگراموں، بی ایس، ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی میں داخلہ کی اعلی شرح ہے۔ معاہدے کے مطابق اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورکے طلباء، محققین اور فیکلٹی ممبران کو جدید تحقیقی سہولیات میں حصہ لینے کا موقع فراہم کرے گا۔ محققین کو اپنے سائنسی کام کو این سی پی میں اکثر ہونے والی قومی اور بین الاقوامی کانفرنسوں میں پیش کرنے میں مدد کرے گا۔
