Message of VC Prof Dr Naveed Akhtar on the ocassion of Takbeer Day

Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr Naveed Akhtar has said in his message on Takbeer Day that 28 May 1998 was the historic day when Pakistan announced its nuclear capability to the world by conducting successful nuclear tests.  The Vice Chancellor said that the declaration of being a nuclear power was also necessary because a few weeks ago, India had upset the balance of power in the region by carrying out nuclear explosions. India wanted to establish its hegemony in the region. Therefore, it became very important for Pakistan that the secret of obtaining the nuclear power for which the nation had made immense sacrifices should be disclosed to the world.  The Vice Chancellor said that this was a very important decision, after which the world imposed many economic and trade sanctions on Pakistan, but it had become clear to the whole world that the defense of Pakistan has become invincible, no matter who the enemy is in our region or the world. On this day, it was proved that whenever our nation sets its destination, no power in the world can stop it from achieving this goal.  The objective for which Pakistan was established was to make it an Islamic welfare state leading the Ummah. We will all work together to complete and build this dream and make Pakistan a great Islamic welfare state. He said that a strong defense is the guarantee of peace and nuclear energy can be used in different ways, it is not used only for war, but nuclear power is the ability to help curb various diseases.  Energy can be generated from it as electricity can be generated by installing a nuclear power plant.  The acquisition of nuclear power is used for the welfare and well-being of humanity like cancer and other diseases are treated with nuclear radiation.  Similarly, nuclear plants are installed to generate electrical energy.  After the nuclear explosions, Pakistan had the honor of becoming the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and the seventh nuclear power in the world, and this day is remembered as "Takbeer Day".  On this occasion, the commitment was expressed to defeat the anti-national ambitions and to make every possible sacrifice for the protection and development of this nuclear program, which is a symbol of national security.

بہاول پور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے یوم تکبیر کے حوالے سے اپنے پیغام میں کہا ہے کہ 28 مئی 1998 وہ تاریخی دن تھا جس دن پاکستان نے کامیاب ایٹمی تجربات کرکے دنیا پر اپنی ایٹمی طاقت ہونے کا اعلان کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ایٹمی طاقت ہونے کا واشگاف اظہار اس لیے بھی ضروری تھا کہ کچھ ہفتے پہلے بھارت نے ایٹمی دھماکے کرکے خطے میں طاقت کا توازن بگاڑ دیا تھا۔ بھارت خطے میں اپنی اجاراداری قائم کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ اس لیے پاکستان کے لیے انتہائی ضروری ہوگیا تھا کہ جس ایٹمی قوت کے لیے قوم نے بے پناہ قربانیاں دی تھیں اسکے حصول کے راز کو دنیا میں افشا کردیا جائے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ یہ بہت اہم فیصلہ تھا جس کے بعد دنیا نے پاکستان پر بہت معاشی و تجارتی پابندیاں لگائیں لیکن پوری دنیا پہ واضح ہوچکا تھا کہ پاکستان کا دفاع ناقابل تسخیر ہو چکا ہے کوئی بھی دشمن جو ہمارے خطے میں ہو یا دنیا میں کہیں بھی ہو پاکستان کی طرف میلی آنکھ سے نہیں دیکھ سکتا۔ اس دن یہ ثابت ہوگیا کہ جب بھی ہماری قوم اپنی منزل کا تعین کرتی ہے تو دنیا کی کوئی طاقت اس مقصد کو حصول سے نہیں روک سکتی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کہا کہ اس مرتبہ یوم تکبیر کے دن ہم اس بات کا عہد کرتے ہیں کہ جن مقاصد کے لیے پاکستان قائم کیا گیا تھا کہ اس کو ایک اسلامی فلاحی مملکت بنایا جائے۔ اس خواب کی مکمل تکمیل اور تعمیر کے لیے ہم سب مل جل کر کام کریں گے اور انشاء اللہ پاکستان کو ایک عظیم اسلامی فلاحی ریاست بنائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ایک مضبوط دفاع ہی امن کا ضامن ہوتا ہے اور ایٹمی توانائی کے مختلف استعمال ہوسکتے ہیں اس کا استعمال صرف جنگ کے لیے نہیں ہوتا بلکہ ایٹمی طاقت وہ صلاحیت ہے جس کے ذریعے مختلف بیماریوں کے علاج میں مدد ملتی ہے۔ اس سے انرجی پیدا کی جاسکتی ہے جیسے پاور پلانٹ لگا کر بجلی کی پیداوار حاصل کی جاسکتی ہے۔ ایٹمی طاقت کا حصول انسانیت کی فلاح اور بہبود کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے جیسے کینسر اور دوسری بیماریوں میں نیوکلیئر شعاعوں سے علاج کیا جا تا ہے۔ اسی طرح الیکٹریکل انرجی پیدا کرنے کے لیے نیو کلیئر پلانٹ لگائے جاتے ہیں۔ ایٹمی دھماکوں کے بعد پاکستان نے مسلم دنیا کی پہلی اور دنیا کی ساتویں ایٹمی طاقت بننے کا اعزاز حاصل کیا تھا اور اسی دن کو یوم تکبیر کے نام سے یاد کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس موقع پہ ملک دشمن عزائم کو ناکام بنانے اور ملکی سلامتی کی علامت اس ایٹمی پروگرام کی حفاظت اور ترقی کے لیے ہر ممکن قربانی دینے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا گیا۔
