MoU signed between IUB and National Press Club

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Department of Media Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and National Press Club, Islamabad. On behalf of the Department, Chairman Department Prof. Dr. Wajid Khan and on behalf of NPC President NPC Shakeel Anjum signed the MoU. President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Afzal Butt, Secretary General of NPC Anwar Raza, Secretary General of Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists Tariq Work, Chairman Department of Communication Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan, Prof. Dr. Shehzad Ali and Chairman, Department of Communication, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Professor Dr. Saqib Riaz was also present. According to the memorandum, National Press Club Islamabad Media Studies will provide internship facilities to the students of Islamia University Bahawalpur in domestic and foreign media organizations. Apart from this, it will also provide necessary assistance in conducting online and physical lectures, trainings and seminars of national and foreign senior journalists, while Islamia University Bahawalpur will provide necessary facilities in the campus for physical training workshops seminars and lectures. Welcoming the MoU, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that it would provide an opportunity to the students of Media Studies to get acquainted with the experiences of professional training, internships and senior journalists.

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا سٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اورنیشنل پریس کلب اسلام آباد کے مابین مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط  کیئے گئے۔ ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی طرف چیئرمین شعبہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر واجد خان اور این پی سی کی طرف سے صدر این پی سی شکیل انجم نے مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط کیئے۔ اس موقع پر پاکستان فیڈرل یونین آف جرنلٹس کے صدر افضل بٹ، این پی سی کے سیکریٹری جنرل انور رضا، راولپنڈی اسلام آباد یونین آف جرنلٹس کے سیکرٹری جنرل طارق ورک، چئیر مین شعبہ ابلاغیات بہاالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شہزاد علی اور چئیرمین شعبہ ابلاغیات علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ثاقب ریاض بھی موجود تھے۔ یادداشت کے مطابق نیشنل پریس کلب اسلام آباد میڈیا سٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے طلبہ و طالبات کے لیئے ملکی و غیر ملکی میڈیا آرگنائزیشنز میں انٹرن شپ کی سہولیات فراہم کرنے میں مدد فراہم کرے گا۔ اسکے علاوہ ملکی و غیرملکی سینئرجرنلٹس کے آن لائن و فزیکل لیکچرز، ٹریننگ و رکشاپس اور سیمینار کے انعقاد میں بھی ضروری معاونت کرے گا جبکہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور فزیکل ٹریننگ ورکشاپس سیمینار و لیکچرز کے لیئے کیمپس میں ضروری سہولیات فراہم کرے گی۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اس مفاہمتی یادداشت کو خو ش آئند قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ اس کے ذریعے میڈیا سٹڈیز کے طلبہ و طالبات کو پروفیشنل ٹریننگ، انٹرن شپس اور سینئر جرنلٹس کے تجربات سے آگاہی کا موقع ملے گاجو ان کے لیئے کیرئر میں انتہائی مفید ثابت ہو گا۔
