MoU signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Institute of Policy Studies

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Institute of Policy Studies for joint education and research. The agreement was signed by Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and Chairman Institute of Policy Studies Islamabad Khalid Rehman. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that it was the need of the hour for higher education institutions to promote social and economic development through quality and useful research. He said that such purposeful research and cooperation in the field of higher education would help in making the country a knowledge-based society. This agreement would pave new avenues for collaboration between teachers and experts of both the institutions. Under the agreement, the two institutions will increase joint research projects as well as academic and publishing activities, as well as academic collaboration at the faculty and student levels. The purpose of these activities is to assist in policy making at both public and private levels. Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Assistant Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Gill and Muhammad Hamid Murtaza from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Syed Abrar Hussain Vice President, Nawfal Shahrukh, Syed Nadeem Farhat and Shafaq Sarfraz from Institute of Policy Studies was also present.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف پالیسی سٹڈیز کے مابین مشترکہ تعلیم و تحقیق میں اشتراک کے لیے مفاہمتی یاداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ معاہدے پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب اور چیئرمین انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف پالیسی سٹڈیز اسلام آبادخالد رحمان نے دستخط کیے۔ انجینئر پروفیسرڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ یہ وقت کا تقاضاہے کہ اعلیٰ تعلیم کے ادارے معیاری اور مفید تحقیق کے ذریعے سماجی اور معاشی ترقی کو فروغ دیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اعلیٰ تعلیم کے شعبے میں اس طرح کی بامقصد تحقیق اور تعاون و اشتراک وطن عزیز کو علم پر مبنی معاشرہ بنانے میں مددگار ثابت ہوگا۔یہ معاہدہ دونوں اداروں کے اساتذہ اور ماہرین کے مابین اشتراک عمل کی نئی راہیں ہموار کرئے گا۔ معاہدے کی رح سے دونوں ادارے مشترکہ تحقیقی منصوبوں کے ساتھ ساتھ تعلیمی اور اشاعتی سرگرمیوں، فیکلٹی اور طلباء کی سطح پر رعلمی میل ملاپ میں اضافہ کریں گے۔ ان سرگرمیوں کا مقصد پبلک اور پرائیویٹ دونوں سطح پر پالیسی سازی میں مدد فراہم کرنا ہے۔ اس موقع پرانسٹی ٹیوٹ آف پالیسی سٹڈیز سید ابرار حسین وائس پریزیڈنٹ، نوفل شاہ رخ، سید ندیم فرحت اور شفق سرفراز انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف پالیسی سٹڈیز اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور سے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز، اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شہزاد علی گل اور محمد حامد مرتضیٰ بھی شریک تھے۔
