On the occasion of Iqbal Day, IUB organized a Speech Competition at Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences

On the occasion of Iqbal Day, Chemistry Students Club, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized an elocution competition at Jinnah Auditorium, Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences. Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Director Institute of Chemistry Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, In-charge Students Affairs Dr. Imran and Dr. Sajida Noreen, other teachers and students of the Institute of Chemistry participated in the ceremony. The theme of the speech competition was "Iqbal's Philosophy of Self and Today's Youth" for which Prof. Dr. Ramzan Tahir, Department of Urdu and Prof. Ahmad Bilal Lodhi, Lecturer, Department of Public Administration acted as judges. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum and Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf also expressed their views. After the speeches, the honorable guest distributed the shields and certificates among the winning students. The aim of the event was to make the students aware of Allama Iqbal's philosophy of self-reliance so that they can play their role in the development of the country and the nation in the future.

یومِ اقبال کے موقع پر کیمسٹری سٹوڈنٹس کلب، دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بھاولپور کی جانب سے جناح آڈیٹوریم، فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز میں تقریری مقابلہ منعقد کروایا گیا۔ تقریب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم، ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدلرؤف، انچارج سٹوڈنٹس افیئر ڈاکٹر عِمران اور ڈاکٹر ساجدہ نورین، دیگر اساتذہ اور طلباء انسٹیٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری نے شِرکت کی۔ تقریری مقابلے کا موضوع "اقبال کا فلسفہ خودی اور آج کا نوجوان" رکھا گیا جس کیلئے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر  شعبہ اُردو اور پروفیسر احمد بلال لودھی لیکچرار ڈیپارٹمنٹ اف پبلک ایڈمنسٹریشن نے ججز کے فرائض سرانجام دئیے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدلرؤف نے بھی اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا۔ تقاریر کے بعد معزز مہمان کو شیلڈز اور جیتنے والے طلباء کے درمیان اسناد تقسیم کی گئیں۔ تقریب کا مقصد طلباء کو علامہ اقبال کے فلسفہ خودی سے روشناس کروانا تھا تاکہ وہ مستقبل میں ملک و قوم کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کرسکیں۔
