On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day 2023, IUB is organizing a series of seminars/walks to express solidarity

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is holding a series of seminar/walk to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur said in his special message that Kashmir is a global problem and poses a challenge to world peace. The freedom movement is purely an internal movement of Kashmiris which consists of years of endless sacrifices. The right to self-determination is the fundamental right of Kashmiris which has been recognized by the United Nations on the platform of the United Nations and is still an unresolved global issue. A large number of teachers, students and university employees participated in the walk held at the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus and Abbasia Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. Participants said that Indian barbarism and atrocities have been going on in occupied Kashmir for the last seven decades. Violations of basic human rights continue in occupied Kashmir. Addressing the Kashmir Solidarity Walk, Dean Faculty of Law and Chairman Department of Pakistan Studies, Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani said that self-determination is a fundamental right of Kashmiris which has been recognized by the United Nations through the UN platform. Pakistan has always provided moral and political support to the oppressed Kashmiris and raised its voice for them on every international platform. Chairperson Special Education and Chairperson Hall Council Islamia University Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar said that for the Kashmiri people the entire Pakistani nation demands from the United Nations that the ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmir be stopped immediately. He said that Kashmir has always been and will remain a part of Pakistan. The United Nations should play its role in stopping Indian atrocities in Kashmir and liberating Kashmiris. On this occasion, other participants said that we will continue to raise our voice for the rights of Kashmiri brothers and sisters till the last drop of blood. Led by Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, all the students, teachers and employees of the university will continue to show solidarity with their oppressed Kashmiris.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی ہدایت پر کشمیری عوام کے ساتھ اظہار یکجہتی کے لیے تقریبات کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اپنے ایک خصوصی پیغام میں کہا کہ کشمیر ایک عالمی مسئلہ ہے اور امنِ عالم کے لیے ایک چیلنج کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ تحریک آزادی خالصتاً کشمیریوں کی اندرونی تحریک ہے جو سالہا سال کی لازوال قربانیوں سے عبارت ہے۔ حقِ خودارادیت کشمیریوں کا بنیادی حق ہے جسے اقوام عالم نے اقوام متحدہ کے پلیٹ فارم پر تسلیم کر رکھا ہے اور ہنوز ایک حل طلب عالمی مسئلہ ہے۔ 5 فروری یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کی مناسبت سے شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان آئی یو بی کشمیر سوسائٹی اور آئی یو بی نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی کے زیرا ہتمام اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے بغداد الجدید کیمپس اور عباسیہ کیمپسز میں ہونے والی واک میں اساتذہ، طلبا اور یونیورسٹی ملازمین کی بڑی تعداد شریک ہوئی۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی سربراہی میں یونیورسٹی کے تمام طلبا، اساتذہ اور ملازمین اپنے مظلوم کشمیریوں سے اظہار یکجہتی کرتے رہیں گے۔اسی طرح یونیورسٹی اساتذہ اور طلباء ضلعی انتظامیہ کی جانب سے کشمیر ریلی میں بھی شریک ہوئے۔ شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ مقبوضہ کشمیر پر گزشتہ 7 دہائیوں سے بھارتی بربریت اور مظالم جاری ہیں۔ مقبوضہ کشمیر میں بنیادی انسانی حقوق کی پامالی کا سلسلہ بھی جاری ہے۔ یکجہتی کشمیر واک سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء و چیئرمین شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب حسین گیلانی کا کہنا تھا کہ خود ارادیت کشمیریوں کا بنیادی حق ہے جسے اقوام عالم نے اقوام متحدہ کے پلیٹ فارم سے تسلیم کیا ہوا ہے۔ پاکستان نے ہمیشہ محکوم کشمیریوں کی اخلاقی اور سیاسی مدد کی اور ہر عالمی پلیٹ فارم پر ان کے لیے آواز بلند کی۔ چیئرپرسن سپیشل ایجوکیشن و چیئر پرسن ہال کونسل اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر کا کہنا تھا کہ کشمیری عوام کے لیے پوری پاکستانی قوم اقوام متحدہ سے مطالبہ کرتی ہے کہ کشمیر میں جاری بھارتی مظالم کو فوری بند کرایا جائے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ کشمیر ہمیشہ سے پاکستان کا حصہ تھا اور رہے گا۔ اقوام عالم کو چاہیے کہ وہ کشمیر میں بھارتی مظالم رکوانے اور کشمیریوں کو آزادی دلانے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ اس موقع پر دیگر شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ ہم خون کے آخری قطرے تک کشمیری بہن بھائیوں کے حق کے لیے آواز بلند کرتے رہیں گے۔
