PCATP approved the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to start a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program

The Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) approved the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to start a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program. A special permit has been issued in this regard. The program will be launched in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, said that the students of South Punjab and the educational and social circles were eager for the initiation of this professional program for a long time. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering and Jam Ayaz Mehmood Chairman Department of Architecture worked hard in this regard and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has become the first university in the region where Bachelor of Architecture 5-year program will be started. Since the initiation of this program, on one hand, the gap in this field has been filled and on the other hand, the architectural heritage of South Punjab and Bahawalpur will be preserved as well as enhanced. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad along with Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel Registrar, Jam Ayaz Mehmood and faculty members met the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and thanked the Vice Chancellor for the special permission and guidance and mentorship for Bachelor of Architecture. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad said that the Faculty of Engineering has crossed another milestone since the initiation of this program and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has become unique and distinguished from other universities in the region by having another honor.

پاکستان کونسل آف آرکیٹیکس اینڈ ٹاؤن پلانرز (PCATP) نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کو بیچلر آف آرکیٹیکچر 5 سالہ پروگرام کے آغاز کی اجازت دے دی ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں خصوصی اجازت نامہ جاری کر دیا گیا ہے۔ یہ پروگرام ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف آرکیٹیکچر فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ میں شروع کیا جائے گا۔ انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلراسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب کے طلباء وطالبات اور تعلیمی و سماجی حلقے اس پروفیشنل پروگرام کے آغاز کے لیے بہت عرصے سے خواہش مند تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اور جام ایاز محمود چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف آرکیٹیکچر نے اس سلسلے میں بھرپور محنت سے کام کیا اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور خطے کی پہلی یونیورسٹی بن چکی ہے جہاں پر بیچلر آف آرکیٹیکچر5 سالہ پروگرام شروع کیا جائے گا۔ اس پروگرام کے آغاز سے ایک طرف تو اس فیلڈ میں موجود خلا پُر ہو گیا ہے اور دوسری جانب جنوبی پنجاب اور بہاول پور کے تعمیراتی ورثے کو بھی محفوظ کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ بڑھاوا ملے گا۔ دریں اثناء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل رجسٹرار، جام ایاز محمود اور فیکلٹی ممبران کے ہمراہ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب سے ملاقات کی اور بیچلر آف آرکیٹیکچر کے لیے خصوصی اجازت نامہ اور رہنمائی و سرپرستی پر وائس چانسلر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد نے کہا کہ فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ نے اس پروگرام کے آغاز سے ایک اور سنگ میل عبور کر لیا ہے اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ایک اور اعزاز کی حامل ہوکر خطے کی دیگر جامعات سے منفرد اور ممتاز ہوگئی ہے۔
