Preparations for the 3rd Bahawalpur Literary and Cultural Festival BLCF-2023 at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have entered the final stages. In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. In the meeting, Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar, Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar, Chairman Department of Media and Communication Studies Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Rana, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Usman Cheema, Principal Officer State Care and Space Management Farkhanda Tahseen, Controller News Punjab Lahore Radio Pakistan Sajjad Parvez, Director Press Media and Publications Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Dr. Sajjad Hussain Assistant Professor, senior teachers and officers participated. Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob thanked Commissioner Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zaheer Anwar Jappa, President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan for their special support. He said that organizing the Bahawalpur Literary and Cultural Festival under the leadership of a personality like Syed Tabish Alwari is an honor for us. The Vice-Chancellor said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has established a new tradition in Pakistani universities by organizing literary and cultural festival. The event has now become an annual event. He said that literature and culture have a close relationship with education. Universities around the world are creating a new educational revolution by harmonizing modern sciences with literature and culture. He said that the opening and closing ceremonies of the literary and cultural fair will be organized in a grand manner and the publicity department will be effective. Media Alumni of Jamia Islamia will be involved for making. National level Qirat, Naat and Debating competitions will be organized. On this occasion, a large industrial and commercial exhibition and flower exhibition will be organized in which local institutions will participate. According to the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, apart from universities and educational institutions of the region, government and commercial institutions and literary organizations, all important sections of the society will be actively involved in this literary and cultural festival. On this occasion, Director Press Media and Publications and Focal Person Shahzad Ahmed Khalid gave a briefing regarding various events and arrangements.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں تیسرے سالانہ ادبی وثقافتی میلے BLCF-2023 کی تیاریاں آخری مراحل میں داخل ہو گئی ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب کی صدارت میں اجلاس منعقد ہوا۔ اجلاس میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار، ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب حسین گیلانی، خزانہ دار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر، چیئرمین شعبہ میڈیا اینڈ کمیونیکیشن سٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شہزادرانا،چیف میڈیکل آفیسر ڈاکٹر عثمان چیمہ، پرنسپل آفیسر اسٹیٹ کیئر اینڈ سپیس مینجمنٹ فرخندہ تحسین، کنٹرولر نیوز پنجاب لاہور سجاد پرویز، ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنزشہزاد احمد خالد، ڈاکٹر سجاد حسین اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر، سینئر اساتذہ کرام اور آفیسرز شریک ہوئے۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبو ب نے کمشنر بہاول پور ڈاکٹر احتشام انور، ڈپٹی کمشنر بہاول پور ظہیر انور جپہ، صدر بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری چوہدری ذولفقار علی مان کا خصوصی تعاون پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سید تابش الوری جیسی شخصیت کی سربراہی میں بہاول پور لٹریری اینڈ کلچرل فیسٹیول کا انعقاد ہمارے لیے باعث اعزاز ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے پاکستانی جامعات میں ادبی اور ثقافتی میلے کا اہتمام کر کے ایک نئی روایت قائم کی ہے۔ اس ایونٹ کو اب ایک سالانہ تقریب کا درجہ حاصل ہو گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ادب اور ثقافت کا تعلیم سے گہرا رشتہ ہے۔ دنیا بھر میں جامعات ادب وثقافت کے ساتھ جدید علوم کو ہم آہنگ کر کے ایک نیا تعلیمی انقلاب برپا کر رہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ادبی اور ثقافتی میلے کی افتتاحی اور اختتامی تقریبات شاندار انداز میں منعقد کی جائیں گی اور تشہیر کے شعبے کو موثر بنانے کے لیے جامعہ اسلامیہ کی میڈیا ایلومنائی کو شامل کیا جائیگا۔ قومی سطح کے قرات، نعت اور تقریری مقابلے منعقد ہوں گے۔ اس موقع پر ایک بڑی صنعتی وتجارتی نمائش اور پھولوں کی نمائش منعقد ہو گی جس میں مقامی اِدارے شریک ہوں گے۔ وائس چانسلر کے وژن کے مطابق علاقے کی جامعات اور تعلیمی اِداروں، سرکاری اور تجارتی اِداروں اور ادبی تنظیموں کے علاوہ معاشرے کے تمام اہم طبقات کو اس لٹریری اینڈ کلچرل فیسٹیول میں بھرپور طریقے سے شریک کیا جائے گا۔ اس موقع پرڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنز اور فوکل پرسن شہزاد احمد خالد نے مختلف ایونٹس اور انتظامات سے متعلق بریفنگ دی۔
