Prof. Dr. Areeba Khan participated in an online discussion to highlight the issue of human rights in Occupied Kashmir

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan invited all universities to participate in an online dialogue with the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullik on human rights and women empowerment along with ways to highlight the issue of human rights in Occupied Kashmir and communication.  gave Prof. Dr. Areeba Khan represented the Islamia University Bahawalpur at the forum and apprised Chairman Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan about the steps taken by Islamia University to highlight human rights issues and Kashmir conflict. She also made suggestions regarding establishment of social media wing of Kashmir Study Centers and local and foreign scholarships for Kashmiri students.  She said that Kashmir Society is already working in Islamia University Bahawal under the supervision of Directorate of Student Affairs.  Executive Director Higher Education Commission Professor Dr. Zia Al Qayyum, Alumni of Islamia University Bahawalpur Zafar Sindhu and senior officials of public and private universities were present on this occasion.

ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن آف پاکستان نے تمام جامعات کو معاون خصوصی وزیراعظم پاکستان محترمہ مشعال حسین ملک کے ساتھ انسانی حقوق اور خواتین کو بااختیار بنانے کے ساتھ مقبوضہ کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کے مسئلے کو اجاگر کرنے کے طریقوں اور ابلاغ پر آن لائن مکالمے میں شرکت کی دعوت دی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان نے فورم پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول کی نمائندگی کی اور چیئرمین ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مختار احمد اور معاون خصوصی وزیر اعظم پاکستان کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی کے انسانی حقوق کے مسائل اور تنازعہ کشمیر کی روشنی میں لانے کے لیے اٹھائے گئے اقدامات سے آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کشمیر اسٹڈی سینٹرز کے سوشل میڈیا ونگ کے قیام اور کشمیری طلباء کے لیے مقامی اور غیر ملکی وظائف کے حوالے سے تجاویز بھی پیش کیں۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول میں ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کی زیر نگرانی کشمیر سوسائٹی پہلے ہی قائم ہے۔ اس موقع پر ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاء القیوم، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے ایلومینائی ظفر سندھو اور سرکاری و نجی جامعات کے اعلی حکام موجود تھے۔
