Signing of MoU between IUB and Nemat Saleem Trust regarding intellectual training and awareness workshop for teachers

In connection with the intellectual training and awareness workshop of teachers between Islamia University Bahawalpur and Nemat Saleem Trust, a memorandum of understanding ceremony was held at Vice Chancellor Secretariat Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur and Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan, former Vice-Chancellor of Islamia University, Bahawalpur signed the MoU. The Vice Chancellor said said that this project of teacher training in the light of Sirat Tayyaba is a commendable step۔ Contribution of Sheikh Shafiqur Rahman Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies and Prof. Dr. Hafiz Shafiqur Rahman Director Sirat Chair in this regard is very significant. People who teach biography of the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him are highly respected. It is a happy occasion for me that this blessing has come to my credit . Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences also appreciated the project and called it the need of the hour. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences also termed this project as revival of social values. Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiqur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, explained the background of this project and also highlighted its need and importance. He said that due to changing situation of social values, conducting teacher refresher courses is the need of the hour.  It is in this context that we have decided to take this unique initiative.  Initially we planned a 3 to 4 hour workshop with groups of 50 to 100 teachers.  In which the experts of Prophet's biography will give awareness lectures. Director ORIC Professor Dr. Muhammad Atif said that you all deserve to be blessed. It is also a welcome development for Project ORIC in terms of growth, that such a revolutionary step has been taken by the Faculty of Arts, especially Islamic Learning, in which there are measures to build the capacity of teachers.  Mufti Syed Irfan Shah described the patronage of this project as a matter of happiness and blessing for Nilemat Salim Trust. On behalf of the trust, Mavis Tariq said that Nemat Saleem Trust supports food, education and shelter in the form of a foundation for the development of the beloved country Pakistan.  Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan, former Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, after thanking the management of Nemat Saleem Trust and Jamia , expressed his pleasure in participating in this MoU.  He said that it is the need of the hour that today's teachers in this institution should follow the footsteps of the founding teachers and the first teachers of the university

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ کے مابین اساتذہ کی فکری تربیت اور آگاہی ورکشاپ کے سلسلے میں مفاہمتی یادداشت کی تقریب وائس چانسلر سیکریٹریٹ بغداد الجدید کیمپس منعقد ہوئی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق خان سابق وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط کیے۔ پروفیسر نوید اختر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے اس آئیڈیا کو خوب سراہا اور نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ کے تعاون کا خیر مقدم کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمن ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر کا سیرت طیبہ کی روشنی میں اساتذہ کی تربیت کا یہ پراجیکٹ نہایت اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔ سیرت کی تعلیم دینے والے افراد نہایت قابل احترام ہیں۔ میرے لیے یہ خوشی کا موقع ہے کہ یہ نعمت میرے حصے میں آئی ہے۔ اللہ تعالی نے کا یہ کرم ہے کہ میں نے اپنے تمام افراد کے ساتھ مل کر یہ فیصلہ کیا اور اس کا آغاز کیا ان شاءاللہ اس کا اختتام بھی خوش آئند ہوگا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز نے بھی اس پراجیکٹ کو سراہا اور اسے وقت کی ضرورت قرار دیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھیمیٹیکل سائنسز نے بھی اس پراجیکٹ کو معاشرتی اقدار کا احیاء قرار دیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز نے ک اس پراجیکٹ کا پس منظر بیان کرنے کے ساتھ اس کی ضرورت و اہمیت پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے کہا معاشرتی اقدار کی دگرگوں صورتحال کے باعث اساتذہ ریفریشر کورسز کا انعقاد وقت کا اہم تقاضا ہے۔ اسی تناظر میں ہم نے اس منفرد اقدام کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ ابتداء ہمارے پیش نظر 50 سے 100 اساتذہ کے گروپس کی صورت سے 3 سے 4 گھنٹے کی ورکشاپ کا منصوبہ ہے۔ جن میں سیرت نبوی کے ماہرین آگاہی لیکچرز دیں گے۔ ڈائریکٹر اورک پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عاطف نے کہا کہ آپ سب مبارک کے مستحق ہیں۔ یہ پراجیکٹ اورک کے لیے بھی گروتھ کے حوالے سے خوش آئند ہے کہ آرٹس خصوصا اسلامک لرننگ فیکلٹی کی جانب سے ایسا انقلابی قدم آیا جس میں اساتذہ کی صلاحیت کی تعمیر کے حوالے سے اقدامات ہیں۔ مفتی سید عرفان شاہ نے نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ کے لیے اس پراجیکٹ کی سرپرستی کو خوشی کا مقام اور سعادت قرار دیا۔ نیز انہوں نے جامعہ کی انتظامیہ کا بھی بھرپور شکریہ ادا کیا۔ ٹرسٹ کی جانب سے ماویس طارق نے کہا کہ نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ مملکت خداداد پاکستان کی تعمیر و ترقی کے لیے فاونڈیشن کی صورت میں فوڈ، ایجوکیشن اور شیلٹر میں تعاون کرتی ہے ۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق خان سابق وائس چانسلر دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاول پور نے نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ اور جامعہ ہذا کی انتظامیہ کا شکریہ ادا کرنے کے بعد اس ایم او یو میں اپنی شرکت کو باعث خوشی قرار دیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وقت کی ضرورت ہے کہ ادارہ ہذا میں آج کے اساتذہ بانی اساتذہ اور جامعہ کے اولین اساتذہ کے نقش قدم پر رواں دواں ہوں۔ جامعہ کا مقصد ہی اسلامی یعنی انسانیت کے لیے نافع علوم کی پذیرائی ہے۔ سیرت کی روشنی میں اساتذہ کی تربیت طلبہ تک یہ پیغام پہنچائے گی کہ ایک اچھا سائنسدان، انجینئر اور ڈاکٹر کیسے بنا جا سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے نعمت سلیم ٹرسٹ کا شکریہ ادا کیا ۔ تقریب کی نظامت کے فرائض ڈاکٹر زوہیب اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر شعبہ تقابل ادیان  نے سرانجام دیئے۔
