Bahawalpur (PR) Special events and seminars were held in all campuses of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on the occasion of Pakistan Martyrs Day. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that every patriotic Pakistani has great devotion and love for those who were martyred in the love of their soil. The eternal sacrifices of martyrs will always be remembered. Martyrs are our capital, because of their sacrifices, we are living with liberty and sovereignty. Today is the day of renewing the pledge to keep in minds the sanctity and sanctity of the martyrs and do not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the dear country. The Vice-Chancellor visited the Martyrs Memorial in Bahawalpur Garrison yesterday and paid tribute to the martyrs. The Vice Chancellor also visited the border post of Head Sulaimanki sector and participated in a special flag lowering ceremony. On this occasion, he paid tribute to the courage and bravery of Major Muhammad Shabbir Sharif Shaheed who received the Nishan e Haider. Major Muhammad Shabbir Sharif Shaheed Nishan e Haider and Sitara e Jurrat displayed unprecedented courage and bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, captured a huge area of the enemy and defeated the five times bigger country. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor met with soldiers of the Punjab Rangers engaged in the defense of the motherland and praised them for their valor and courage in guarding the borders of the country in all kinds of conditions day and night. The Vice Chancellor also visited the gallery of commemorative photos of the Border Post of 1965 and 1971 wars and martyrs there. Meanwhile, the teachers and students of the Directorate of Students Affairs of the Nazria e Pakistan Society participated in a special rally organized by the Bahawalpur District Administration on Martyrs' Day and paid their respects to the martyrs.

یوم تکریم شہداء پاکستان کے موقع پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے تمام کیمپسز میں خصوصی تقریبات اور سیمینار منعقد ہوئے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ ہر محب وطن پاکستانی اپنی مٹی کی محبت میں شہید ہونے والوں سے والہانہ عقیدت اور محبت کے جذبات رکھتا ہے۔ شہداء کی لازوال قربانیوں کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھا جائے گا۔ شہداء ہمارا سرمایہ ہیں، انہی کی قربانیوں کے باعث ہم آزاد فضاؤں میں جی رہے ہیں۔ آج یوم تجدید عہد ہے کہ شہداء کے تقدس اور حرمت کا  خیال رکھتے ہوئے وطن عزیز کے لیے کسی بھی قربانی سے دریغ نہ کریں۔ وائس چانسلر نے آج صبح  بہاول پور گیریژن میں یاد گار شہداء پر حاضری دی اور عظیم شہداء کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ گزشتہ روز وائس چانسلر نے ہیڈ سلیمانکی سیکٹر کی بارڈر پوسٹ کا دورہ کیا اور پرچم اتارنے کی خصوصی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔ اس مو قع پر انہوں نے نشان حیدر پانے والے میجر محمد شبیرشریف شہید کی جرات اوربہادری کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ میجر محمد شبیرشریف شہید نشان حیدر و ستارہ جرات نے 1971 کی پاک بھارت جنگ میں بے مثال جرات اور بہادری کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے دشمن کے بہت بڑے علاقے پر قبضہ کیا اوراسے شکست فاش دی۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس موقع پر مادر وطن کے دفاع میں مصروف عمل پنجاب رینجرکے جوانوں سے ملاقات کی اور دن رات ہر طرح کے حالات میں وطن کی سرحدوں کی نگہبانی پر ان کے عظم اور حوصلے کی تعریف کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے وہاں بارڈر پوسٹ 1965اور 1971 کی جنگوں اور شہداء کی یادگار تصاویر بھی دیکھیں۔ دریں اثناء نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات نے ضلعی انتظامیہ بہاول پور کی جانب سے یوم تکریم شہداء کے لیے نکالی گئی خصوصی ریلی میں شرکت کی اور شہداء کو خراج عقیدت پیش کیا۔
