Special rally was held at IUB to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on the day of Black Day

Today, 27 October 2023, a special rally was held at Abbasia Campus under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on the day of Black Day. Prof. Dr. Rao Imran Habib, Dean Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director of Students Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif, Principal College of Conventional Medicine, Dr. Rubina Yasmeen, Chairperson, Department of Pakistan Studies, teachers, officers, employees and students participated in large numbers in the rally. Later, while addressing a seminar organized by the Faculty of Law and Department of Pakistan Studies in Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, the speakers said that the example of oppression and cruelty shown to the people of Kashmir is difficult to find in the history of the world. October 27, 1947 has become a dark day in history when Indian troops landed in Kashmir and the freedom struggles began from that day and till today the fourth generation of Kashmiris is fighting for their freedom. By abolishing the special status, they abolished the special identity of Kashmiris and made a nefarious attempt to destroy the freedom movement by dividing the region into different parts. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Rao Imran Habib, Chairperson Department of Pakistan Studies Dr. Rubina Yasmin and other teachers said that the hearts of Pakistanis beat with Kashmiris. Quaid-e-Azam had said that Kashmir is the artery of Pakistan. The day is not far when Kashmiris will breathe the air of freedom. A large number of teachers and students participated in a special rally organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs at Abbasia Campus to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

آج 27 اکتوبر 2023 کو یوم سیاہ کے دن مظلوم کشمیری عوام سے اظہار یکجہتی کیلئے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی قیادت میں عباسیہ کیمپس میں خصوصی ریلی نکالی گئی۔ ریلی میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راو عمران حبیب، ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد آصف پرنسپل کالج آف کنونشنل میڈیسن، ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین صدر شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان اساتذہ کرام، افسران و ملازمین اور طلباء وطالبات کثیر تعداد میں شریک ہوئے۔ بعد ازاں فیکلٹی آف لاء اور شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان کے زیر اہتمام غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال میں منعقدہ ایک سیمینار خطاب کرتے ہوئے مقررین نے کہا کہ اہلیانِ کشمیر کے ساتھ جس جبر اور ظلم کا مظاہرہ کیا گیا اُس کی مثال دنیا کی تاریخ میں ملنا مشکل ہے۔ 27 اکتوبر 1947 کا دن تاریخ میں ایک سیاہ دن کی حیثیت اختیار کرچکا ہے جب بھارتی فوجیں کشمیر میں اُتریں اور اُس دن سے جدوجہد آزادی کا آغاز ہوا اور آج تک کشمیریوں کی چوتھی نسل اپنی آزادی کی جنگ لڑ رہی ہے۔ بھارتی حکومت نے مقبوضہ کشمیر کی خصوصی حیثیت ختم کرکے کشمیریوں کی خصوصی شناخت ختم کر ڈالی اور خطہ کو مختلف حصوں میں تقسیم کر کے تحریک آزادی کو ختم کرنے کی مذموم کوشش کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راؤ عمران حبیب، صدر شعبہ مطالعہ پاکستان ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین اور دیگر اساتذہ نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستانیوں کے دل کشمیریوں کے ساتھ دھٹرکتے ہیں۔ قائداعظم نے کہا تھا کہ کشمیر پاکستان کی شہ رگ ہے۔ وہ دن دور نہیں کہ جب کشمیری آزاد ی کی فضاؤں میں سانس لے گے۔ ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس آفیئرز کے زیر اہتمام عباسیہ کیمپس میں کشمیریوں سے اظہار ِ یکجہتی کے لیے خصوصی ریلی میں اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات نے کثیر تعداد میں شرکت کی۔
